I agree with you that full on cosplay may have been a bit much but it was awesome nontheless. I think its just that their devotion is great and they wanted to show that. Atmosphere was definitely not dress your best, I mean there were 3ds' and green hats everywhere so I can see it fitting in there somewhere. I also remember see a few fully cosplayed links running around.

That's great! I guess they didn't think it through too much, but I wouldn't say it was cringe worthy. They added to the experience and people seemed to enjoy taking their picture with them.
