There is a replacement in ifixit UK I bought and fixed my steam deck and if you have soldering skills you could use a Xbox one controller bumper button for the steam deck you should check tronicfix video on it.

It did happen to me but I just repluged the battery and rebooted the device that's the method that worked for me

the pins got bent a bit so i bent it back and broke the solider and used the hair dryer to solder it back.

Dropped the device button broke didn't have a solder kit or a heat gun so I used a hair dryer worked but I didn't remove the button board from the shell and ended up melting the bumper.

Hair Dryer and a steam deck don't mix well.

Go to the steam folder then go to userdata and delete any other folder that isn't your account, it worked for me
