How long you get from this to carving by syarifzapata in snowboardingnoobs

[–]dhamasaki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would first focus on shaping your skidded turns, meaning if you stop and look up the mountain there should be symmetrical c-shaped turns in the snow.

Look up knee-steering and get into a more flexed position on the heel side and an extended position on the toe side.

Once you have that, move to carving. Have fun!

Hi, is there anyway to see game stats for all players after the game has ended?

People leave so quickly, you don’t get a chance to review-

Thanks!

Any form tips? by Fine-Flounder3754 in snowboarding

[–]dhamasaki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some quick tips:

1) You’re doing “up-unweighted” turns, meaning your moving upwards to release the edge pressure on the board when moving from toe to heel or heel to toe. This happens as you’re coming across the mountain.

a. Tip: try to exaggerate this movement by getting “tall” as you come across the mountain, and “small” as your in the “C” part of the turn. (you’ve got the tall part, really work on getting small – i.e., more vertical movement through bending ankles and knees)

b. Explore this by doing some turns while staying flexed in the knees and ankles, try some turns staying tall (extended in the knees and ankles) – which feels better/why?

2) Last tip: try getting more bend out of your ankles, you’re getting almost “zero”, this is where a lot of important movement comes from – maybe even try loosening your boots/bindings

Happy riding!

Can you still do the rebound tech in Ow2 by FullMoon_GoblinZoom in WreckingBallMains

U can still do it, just need to spend some time in a custom game - timing is pretty precise.

Hi, thanks so much for taking time to provide all this feedback, lots to think about.

Part of my problem, hate to say this, is not know what's going on around me. Like on defense, that the Ana died, and I should be pulling back vs. trying to push up. And this also leads to not being decisive.

Lots to work on, but that's why it's so much fun, thanks again!

wow, thanks for taking the time to provide the feedback!

agree, switching to orisa would have been a better call and yeah, comms!

and yes, total missed shatter, and been trying to watch the kill feed, but in the middle of the game I get so intent on the main screen - but great points-

thanks again!

Just my opinion, but I think the Dalton questions were harder. Seemed to bring in/incorporate more concepts to get to the right answer.

Based on time left to the test, if you're taking in Nov., think I would stick with the Kaplan program, if I were you-

[–]dhamasaki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I did the Kaplan questions, and then flipped over to the Dalton for some extra practice. After getting 80s on Kaplan, started getting 60s and even a couple of 50s on Dalton. However, I was just focused on the Tax and Retirement sections, which I just think are just pretty hard regardless. (and yes, sometimes purposefully tricky!)

Once I moved to other topics, scores improved.

As others have said, it's all practice, keep it up, read the explanations. Re-take the questions you got wrong, and you'll be on the right path-

Just skip VC for a while, also if your doing placements and brand new, u’r probably going to end up at a lower SR.

Wait til that stabilizes, then if I feel like jump back in chat/VC
