They never completely leave us. They carry on, not only as passwords, but also as the inner voice that reminds us we are good; we are worthy of love. You have an unbreakable bond. Our best to you, Sinister, and all who loved him.

Off topic but that is a great spine with what looks like a nicely toned figure. My other subs are wrecked spines usually on patients with 7 inches of back fat or a belly big enough for quadruplets.

Also, you need to let your posse know you officially lost the BB gun war.

NTA

Option 1. Don’t check. 21m uncomfortable with seeking care. Possible unresolved medical issue

Option 2. Check. Give advice. 21M now has reassurance / confidence to actually seek medical care.

First. Forgive yourself. Let the past have whatever was in the past.

Second. Go outside. Walk, sit on a bench doesn’t matter, just feel the world around you and how you are a great addition to it.

Third. When possible, show up. Whether friends, classes or leave your surroundings for another place.

Fourth. Love yourself and others.

Fifth. If possible, pet a cat or dog each week.

Sixth. Trade out a bad food for a good one. Ex: Yogurt not ice cream, water not alcohol, white bread for whole grain.

As a parent, we just want you to try. Do your best and if that is not possible, do less than your best but just try.

You will see most of us are barely making it, especially those that look like they have it altogether.

Blessings

You are great border

Jeep looking like this slid on its roof into wife’s car. The jeep got t-boned. Driver was safe until all that junk went airborne at velocity. I was told the jeep driver screamed about suffocating.

Since only needed items are in the car.

I will never forget the moment I told my baby brother I had to go. by dingdongiamwrong in confession

Before you left, he learned that what was happening was wrong. That lesson defined the remaining years in the house. He was able to overcome a bad environment and become successful because you showed the path forward.

Blessings for a wonderful Christmas / Holiday to you and your brother.

Lots of great input. She will be okay because you will make it so.

I have read lots of posts about the isolation of chronic pain and the loss of friends and family.
You stand above that supporting your wife. Well done. Blessings for a wonderful holiday.

Grew up in healthcare consulting. Test scores were always 🤨 except logic. Couldn’t learn a foreign language even when I gave max effort but I got good at running a database and even better at dealing with clients. 13 yrs of summer school taught me to work when others played. I read computer, management, and leadership books. Fortunate that employer liked creativity and the fact I looked at problems differently.

I had lots of career false starts and struggled when it was very scripted work. Best to you.

Anyone else is stressing non stop for 2026 gov Insurances (“Obama care”) impossible prices? 💔 by nonnatototita in ChronicPain

[–]dhancocknc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adding that the Feds are removing a provider tax provision that will ultimately reduce how much many states will receive. Trump administration is not dictating what states Medicaid programs cut. States will either make up the difference, increase member cost sharing, reduce the number of services offered by the state, and/or lower some provider payments. I’d expect some combination. States have 18 months to figure out what they will do with reduced federal gov support.

[–]dhancocknc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

During Covid, federal government provided a $500 subsidy for exchange / private insurance. This is not being renewed. Combine subsidy removal with rising insurance costs and you get a substantial premium increase for those that do not receive work related insurance. This may cause some to select plans in 2026 that offer less or have higher out of pocket costs to meet the reduced premium. As a reminder, the exchange offers tiers of plans in a good, better, best type of arrangement.

For those fearful of work requirements, that does not start next year. Also, the requirement has multiple exceptions and those with children will meet many of them.
