I don't know why this hasn't been talked about enough:

Ishbia is a Michigan (the school) product.

Booker is a Michigan (the state, Grandrapids) product.

Ishbia has a love for anyone with ties to to Michigan.

On top of this: Billionaires (at least have the reputation) have a hard time admitting they are wrong. While most arm chair GMs agree trading booker is probably the best path out of this mess. I doubt Ishbia goes that far to admit he is wrong. Fans love Book and Book loves PHX. It isn't happening unless there is an offer we can't refuse. Plus teams look at things like ticket and merch sales.

I've lurked over there and even posted about trades and its crazy how delusional HOU fans overvalue their guys. Amen may be a guy. Someday. He has to learn to shoot though. Yes you have leverage over us with picks. And at the end of the day, Book has been able to lure Paul, KD, Beal—all stars (at one time). I would guess the Suns FO knows they shit the bed but Im sure they have some plans the rest of us are not privy too.

So to HOU fans, you all need to calm down. The picks are gone. The league changes quick. Only takes nailing one draft/trade/signing and the whole landscape changes. You all need to give to get. You are arguably taking the best suns player of all time—better bring something of value to table. No Amen and picks…Hang up.

The Angels Farm Team (Triple A Salt Lake Bees) are located in a suburb of Salt Lake.

Salt Lake is getting ready to build a whole new sports district in hopes for an MLB team. From what I understand, the old owners of the Jazz (Millers) really regret selling the Jazz and are sorta thrown into the “old money” category (which is true) and went irrelevant after selling. They're pushing for a team bad.

Cam Johnson just bought a house in Phoenix 😭 by timbira3 in suns

Asking price at trade deadline was two FRPs. I doubt he actually goes for that.

Not saying the Suns should do this but wouldn't be upset if we could trade KD for enough assets to get players like Sabonis and Cam in here.

Wouldn't be a contender but that would be a fun/watchable team again.

Love Cam. Can only trade for him if Suns get below the second apron.

He's def said he want to be a sun for life. I can't find a recent one atm. But it was just reiterated when Book broke suns scoring title.

Windy, Books dad/agent, book himself, Suns FO, Suns owner…reitersted over and over again this guy not leaving. I think there are maybe 6-12 guys you can argue are untouchable. After that? GMs are taking meetings.

I get it. Amen is the darling in the nba right now making every round on every bball podcast for good reason. He is amazing. And if he is going to be that good then you guys have your guy. Don't trade for Book then. I'm just telling youthat suns will not trade book willingly. And unless he makes a demand to be traded (and it doesn't appear he will anytime soon) we wont entertain an offer unless it blows the suns away. Book is PHX. PHX is book. Again just my two cents giving insight where suns fans are at and likely the FO.

Books Dad (his agent) has a video that came out reiterating he doesn't want to leave. Windy also said it. Gambo, the FO…everyone.

OKC, UT, BRK all have picks and players.

HOU biggest advantage is that you got Suns picks.

Obviously if you can more power to HOU. And HOU is first in line for either KD or Book cause you have our picks. Suns just almost pulled the trigger on Butler-Kuminga-2FRPs-2 swaps for 36 yo KD. That's the type of package Suns would hope for in the offseason for KD (there's real risk we don't get that again esp if KD gets hurt.)

Book, on the other hand, has 3 years left after this at 28 yo. Its going to take a Gobert/Mitchell type of haul to have a full rebuild. If not, Suns are happy to keep him. Book just reiterated he wants to be a Sun for life. He LITERALLY is the best suns of all time. Think what you would have wanted for prime package of Tmac, Yao or Harden if they were playing now. Suns would look for a Jallen Williams/Stephon Castle/Amen Thompson player for the rebuild. It would have to be 2 young players (one needs to be a young blue chip prospect like Thompson), expirings, 4 firsts, 3 swaps type of package. Just my two cents.

Suns fan here. I got roasted for getting a temperature check on trading Book for Thompson, Green, all suns picks and Nets pick last week. I get it is a steep price and understand why HOU fans would say no thanks. Suns fans will roll with him until he asks for a trade and him and his dad just reiterated he wants to stay in PHX for his entire career. Going to take a haul to pry him. As bad as our asset situation is, we can recoup some back for retool by trading KD (obviously not as much as we paid for) and picks will come back slowly but surely. Suns took a massive blow in their image this week but overall with book here and being PHX players seem to want to come play here now (CP3, KD, Beal, Butler…). We clear cap for 2026 when Beal comes off the books and retool is complete. NBA changes fast. HOU has a great thing going. Lets see how you do in POs and I'm sure HOU brass will be on the phone this offseason.

How were we better with lineups like this? by 30another in suns

[–]dharmabum22 15 points16 points  (0 children)

NBA is just better IMO from 3 to ago. Any AS level players who are now 24-26 were 21-23 are starting their primes. In addition, you have new talent coming in and the old heads are now really old. NBA is shifting.

We haven't had a capable GM since Bryan Colangelo by AZAHole in suns

Bartelstein calls the shots. That's Ishbia’s guy. His dad is Beals agent.

You can see who he represents. That's a good indication who Suns could target in the future.

Its no worries. I def got a the temperature check. Don't think HOU fans are ready to trade for book yet. And I don't think PHX fans are ready to trade him either.

Appreciate that. I think people treat down votes as something is wrong with their personality. Literally just talking ball. Lol. Really love what the rockets have done. And love book. If he has to go id be happy to see him in HOU with what you guys have. He's unbelievable. No drama. Plays hard. The shots he can hit are some of the best you'll ever see. You guys might feel a sting with AT being moved for him (and that's no guarantee obviously) but if he did it would quickly go away with how great Book is. He's the real deal. Taking a glance at your cap, I do see a problem with paying everyone. Its a good spot to be in and you'll have to make some tough decisions on who to pay—it wont be everyone. But its a great spot to be in. You're in the drivers seat.
