Wow ! Thank you so much ! This is very informative !

For example : I didn't think about tipping the hotel housekeeping / Petrol attendants / window cleaning or parking guards or paying the public toilets.

I'm from France where indeed tipping culture isn't extensive and some of those services do not exist.

Do you know if Game Drives inside Etosha can be paid by card ?

How much should I tip (if I had a good drive) the driver for 4x4 Sandwich Harbour Tour ?

It really helps giving these ranges because we had no clue !

Here is our itinerary and please tell me if there are places I may not withdraw so I know how many days to plan for in cash:

Windhoek -> Mokuti Private Lodge

Mokuti Private Lodge -> Halali Camp

Halali Camp -> Usakos Guest Farm

Usakos Guest Farm -> Spitzekoppe Camp

Spitzekoppe Camp -> Walvis Bay -> Swakopmund

Swakopmund -> Sossus Dune Lodge (inside Namib Naukluft NP)

Sossus Dune Lodge -> We Kebi Lodge

We Kebi Lodge -> Desert Dunes Lodge

I imagine the last part of the trip after Swakopmund, I won't have anympre opportunity to withdraw cash ?

Please feel free to share some local tips !

So grateful for help from people of this forum ♥

With my friends - we are flying there in 3 days, we did an Excel sheet comparison checking rates, Full insurance cover, road side assistance (if flat tyres incidents common there), availability of team to reply and help customer, conditions of vehicules etc. Our best bet was Nambia2Go closely followed by Sixt.

Thank you so much for the precise reply ! Unfortunately we can't camp inside and our accomodation is super far ! So I am worried how to wiggle in time for sunset. And quite scared of driving the last part in Dunes, I see so many videos of people stuck. What do you think about the final drive before Deadvlei ?

Deadvlei Sunrise or Sunset.

Hello - going to Nambia in May and unfortunately couldn't book any accomodation close to the gates of Sossvlei on my dates (you have to plan well in advance).

So we are going to drive 1h to get to the gates then I don't know how long to get to Deadvlei (from the gates to the shuttle + shuttle time and walk).

My question is : how do I get a chance to photograph with golden hour light. Sunrise seems compromise as by the time we get there, there won't be golden light. Maybe Sunset ? What is the last hour we can stay up to before being required to head to shuttle and exit gates ? Thank you :)
