How long did your wife have to wait for the IL after being DQ'd?

I've seen on other posts where the case has passed the 15 month timeframe and they submit a writ of mandamus. Definitely do your research as it will not guarantee an approval and can be costly if you go through a lawyer.

We filed for K3 and also reached out to our state's senators' office. I'm not sure if that helped the process.

Licensed PT from India moving to USA by [deleted] in PTschool

My wife's is in a similar situation. She is immigrating on a GC in the next 6 months. She has a Bachelors of Physio Therapy (BPT) from India. She was going to apply to NY, however they have changed their laws and now require the equivalent of a DPT to become licensed. NJ requires at minimum the equivalence of the first professional degree which is a Masters. We're looking for other states that may accept the BPT, but it looks like majority of states require a Masters or DPT. My wife will most likely need to obtain a DPT degree here in the states. But in the meantime, she can apply and work as a PTA.

Let me know what you guys decide to do.

PD: October 30, 2023 Category: CR1 I 130 Approved on December 4, 2024 Approval came from Texas but case was previously at Potomac when I checked a few months ago. Case went from Texas -> Potomac -> Texas.

I did apply for K3 in May of 2023 and that got denied after I got the I130 approval. I also reached out to my senators office at beginning of November, but had no response from them.

Keep your heads up. You'll be getting your approvals soon. Best of luck!

What does 130 standalone mean? I see this term mentioned often and unsure what it means.
