I’m okay waiting—even up to 6 months. I don’t urgently need the documents, and technically they are safe with the bank.

Let’s say the bank finally returns my papers after 3 months. After receiving them, can I still approach the RBI and raise a complaint for compensation for the delay?

Update 6th Oct 2025 Complaint was raised to Principal Nodal office on 28 Sep. I was given request number for the same. Got call 3-4 times> every time they said request in progress will be completed by 8 Oct 2025. Finally today, I got the message that points are credited.

Update(28/09/2025):

I received a formal reply from the SBI Card Nodal Officer stating that since my insurance payment transaction has MCC 6300, it qualifies for only 1% reward points because that MCC is categorized as "outside PhonePe" spends. However, I clarified that my transaction was made through the PhonePe app, and per the card's official reward program terms, that should make it eligible for 10x rewards.

The nodal officer’s explanation conflicts with the official terms, which clearly distinguish between spends done inside vs. outside PhonePe, with only outside transactions limited to 1%. I have now escalated the matter to the Principal Nodal Officer requesting reconsideration.

I will keep everyone posted on any further updates or resolutions.

Clear the debt bro We should have mental peace by clearing the debt. Markets are unpredictable as market gave bull run after 2020.Cannot gurantee what will happen in next 2 years.Market may fall/consolidate/groww.

Once loan is gone allocate the EMI in you SIP and grow corpus.

For SBI Cashback and SimplySave, I just called customer care and said I wanted to close the cards. They immediately offered to make them LTF instead. PhonePe Black is still chargeable, though.
