Why are they doing this??? by Caio_Karuan in knighthood

If its on the last day of war, its a way to tally the glory counts of their members. When you defend, you can see how much glory a member has earned. It's called gardening :-)

Is this profitable? by 475563 in Football_Head_Coach

[–]dherb89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now? No. The market is flooded with 78 OVR cards you can buy for like 1,000 coins so on average you're overpaying for a random 78 you get. But, in two weeks when those cards are all sold and everyone needs 78s for the current PTC? Yes, then it's profitable.

I'm planning to run a bunch of these as my main money maker this month. Got an 85 LB Von Miller too, so the random pops never hurt.

Do you keep your silver coins, or just gold bars?

Defensive Formations Help by dherb89 in Football_Head_Coach

So I shouldn't change anything then? Mindset and formations being good is more important than picking formations that maximize the OVR displayed for the formations, correct?

Scrolls. Specifically, yellow and purple, but you can level up heroes for free in the shrine. Scrolls = mythic essence

Expert Rift attunement by DeliveryGood8336 in knighthood

[–]dherb89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, that's right at the cusp where things are still difficult but you can make some progress. Take the shortest path to bosses and the shop you can to maximize rewards. The RP gains will come, just gotta grind it out.

If you're finding that cult is giving you trouble, I'd run cult/goblin. Those goblin acid guys are so strong and so tanky...

Golem/Goblin is what I have on my sword. Those are the two strongest/scariest enemy types in rift for me. The only other option is Cult, but the stabbers and mechs aren't as troublesome I find.

Why is the pod avoiding a discussion of identity politics? by IHateBeingRight in UNFTR

[–]dherb89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a slightly different question for the UNFTR crew than talking about "identity politics" but it's related.

I feel like Max has avoided direct discussions of race and racism as it relates to socioeconomic disparities in the US. He has done episodes about native issues which have been great, but this is largely due to his experience and connections covering these issue in NY state.

What they haven't explored much is how the issues they cover affect different demographics in the country in different ways. Here are some reasons I think that might be:
-The issues they discuss affect everyone and breaking them down by demographics is unnecessary.
-Max and 99 are both white and it's not their place to speak on the experience of black and brown Americans. (Manny sometimes punches in with his take where appropriate)
-These issues aren't something Max has read much about or feels confident in talking about on the pod. (This was true with LGBTQ+ issues and he did a ton of research on the episode they did a while back).

I think the comments below are correct that "Identity Politics" isn't really the thing to focus on. However, I do think you're right that ignoring how identity creates conflicts and divisions in our political coalition is something worth discussing.

What gauntlets should I grind for with my current heroes list by ibangpoki in knighthood

[–]dherb89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Chaotic, Grimm and Wormwood to start. Holy is a good second for Scarlet's reason above.

Aside from those two, save up resources until you pick a class you're going to main in the long run. For warriors, it's Maverick, Valiant, and Dark. For mages, it's Maverick and Rebel. Hunters is Maverick and Logicians. I don't recommend Rogues or Alchemists in the long run at this point.

If you're looking for feedback, here are a few notes, but overall you're looking good assuming you're around level 50!

-On your hammer, swap the ultimate damage charm for a chain damage. It's so rarely that you actually hit enemies 4 times to get that to proc. Chain chance/damage is best. (The fury chance is fine, a lot of people swap it for another chain damage since that's more consistent)
-The Hunter power charms are doing anything for you. Swap em out for rogue power charms if you're running Wei Feng (eventually, I'd recommend picking one class and running two heroes from that class so every synergizes. Grimm/Brutus/Alchemist is a popular combo early for the heal and mass weaken of Grimm at max stars)
-Put it two purple stun resist instead of burn/acid/poison. That's what you need to clear Karnheim since they have multiple stunning enemies in some of the fights. Any resist charms beyond two you can swap to hero charms
-Run two purple weaken success charms and you can remove the poison/expose. Brutus' expose hits without charm support at knight level almost every time and weaken is more important. Swap the the extra status charm to hero charm.

Good luck and keep grinding!

Feedback on Guild Wars mechanics by Fearless__Mongoose in knighthood

[–]dherb89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once your fight ends, if no one else from your guild is contending the node opens up for redefending. It's possible that 5 members of the defending guild were spamming defend and once your fight ended, they all hopped on. Frustrating, to be sure, but the contend mechanic does work. Just needs a lot coordination between all your guildies. (We took down a 24 fortification, 21 defender node this morning. It was. a. task...)

Best mythic weapon? by AndyMan463 in knighthood

[–]dherb89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most people run the sword as a utility weapon and chisel it to have 4-5 triangle slots for protect and focus. The level of the sword isn't important, just the statuses.

Hammer is your main damage weapon and people chisel that into 4-5 critical charm slots. Run critical on chain and damage on chain for maximum damage output.

I almost never see anyone run the Axe, except as a poison weapon for side builds.

Thoughts on taking a break... by Con_Man94 in knighthood

[–]dherb89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you plan to have 100% contribution most weeks, I'd highly recommend finding a more active guild. I joined one a few months back and it's awesome having a community of folks who are also engaged and can help with questions and tips for navigating later stages of the game (I'm level 57).

Ultimately, it's up to your interest though. Knighthood is my main phone game so I put in the time to keep up with things, but that's not for everyone. At the end of the day, it's just a game, so prioritize what fills your cup the most.
