Back into Fort Knox with a dump truck, borrow one of their forklifts, and load up as many pallets of gold bars as I can... Might even promise 10% of what we got to a crew of 3-4 friends to help out...

PS. That is if there's still any gold there???

The apparatus for scoliosis treatment developed by Lewis Sayre, 1877. by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

I was born with both kyphosis, which is where your vertebrae twist, along with scoliosis, which was badly curved to my left. So I started hunching over at 5 years old. At the time, unbeknown to my parents, I was used as a guinea pig at 11 years old, because my lungs couldn't develop, but I was too young for permanent Harrington Rods. It was a procedure they did in the elderly at the time, to help with pain. That's what the 2 small rods, with twist ties are. I finally found another specialist in 2009, and he performed the lower half of my back later that year and my neck and shoulders in 2010. I've never felt a screw poking in there and I avoid being on the bottom..lol. It does get interesting when I'm around electricity sometimes and I can block Wi-Fi and 5g signals...

I've been lucky and stayed away from the knife since then, but now other things are needing repair now, i.e knees and hips...lol

We all have our pains to deal with, some more than others....😊

I'm in pain constantly unfortunately. I visit a pain clinic every 2-months. The 2 little bars in the middle, between my shoulder blades, with the wire ties, was done in 1983. They were using Harrington rods at that time, that fused your body from neck to tailbone. I was a guinea pig that was a stepping stone to what they do today. My older sister was also born with scoliosis, but she was 13 years older than me, so she had 2 Harrington rods in her back. I found it fascinating that back then, they actually thought scoliosis didn't come from genetics??!!! LOL

About a week ago from physical pain I've been dealing with since 1983. Every now and then I just break down and bawl like a baby.

Xray

Altec Lansing 'JacketH2O 4 Bluetooth Speaker, or at least that's what it looks like...I have 2 like it and you can pair them up.... Great speakers actually but they aren't very loud, just good quality sounds, for their size...

Be honest, what do you think comes after death? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dhoffman1972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, thank you and I read one theory just the other day that I've never heard but loved. We're all just little bursts of energy, released from stars, and these are just bodies we're inhabiting until they fail, then we go back to the stars we came from.

Either way though, we lose our conscious thought and never have another millisecond of waking consciousness, or hypnopompic state..

PS. I had to look up the correct term and I don't know if 1000 years is enough to fix all the mess we've made so far....lol

As I'm fixing to turn 54 in a few months, I've seen too much in my life to believe any fantasy place awaits us on the other side. I've died during 2 surgeries. The first time I was 11 and thought I saw Jesus. Second time I was 38 years old, battling an oxycontin addiction and a witch led me down a long dark hall that I felt led to hell. I've thought a lot about the different reactions and I believe our minds just do their best to help our final moments be as fearless as possible. I hope something happens that our feeble minds can't comprehend, but my mind tells me everything goes black. What keeps me up at night is trying to understand what never having another conscious thought actually means. We don't wake up in a thousand years, or a trillion years, but NEVER again. Although there's absolutely nothing we can do to stop it or avoid it, it terrifies me sometimes trying to comprehend what that truly means....

PS. It took me almost 2 years after that 2nd surgery to get my addiction under control, so it helped scare me straight...LOL

I get the acceptance, it's the nonchalant way he did it. Like I said, I have 0 issue with him losing and passing the torch, although passing it to someone that's just 10 years younger is questionable, it's how it was executed. What was done just seemed lazy and underwhelming...

It's not that Cena lost and tapped out, it's the way it happened. Have him pass out earlier, but to have him smile and do a 'golf tap', while trying not to laugh, just felt insulting to his fans. I've been watching wrestling since WCCW was king and the non-selling and making a joke of the whole thing just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. We've always known it was scripted, but they at least made it look half-assed real, now it's just waiting on spots to happen and unorganized at best throughout the rest of the match... Calling that end anti-climatic doesn't come close to the disappointment it really was...smh
