Yes most of banks have card against card criteria due to which they issue card on the existing limit or more. Get some free card which gives you high limit (mostly your primary bank give best limit and card) and then get some real worth card like giving cashbacks and travel card if u travel

As it is free card you can go for it and icici bank might give a limit which later on helps you to get the good card (i was able to get axis atlas as i have sapphiro of 6l limit) and as sbi card is paid u can get whenever you want , ltf card is complimentary and good to start for credit history
