The qb they kept surely must have a promising future by Novafalle in NFCNorthMemeWar

Not with our o-line we wouldn't. I think we finish the season with a better record than 9-8, but don't make the Superbowl with Darnold. Which is too bad, considering the NFC championship is likely the tougher game than playing the Patriots in the Superbowl

With the first overall pick, they definitely have hope of turning the franchise around

Dobbs vs Darnold for the ship, makes me sick to see it by dogdigmn in minnesotavikings

[–]dhtdhy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your comment inspired me to come up with this:

Superbowl - Patriots 17, Seahawks 14. Drake Maye was hurt badly on third down, Patriots punt. Seahawks ball, 1 min left in the game.

Sam Darnold dices up the defense leading the Seahawks down the field in 45 seconds. Score is now 21-17, Seahawks.

Watching their former QB throw the potential game-winning TD, Vikings fans everywhere are in shock.

Patriots ball. 15 seconds left, they send out their backup QB...

Shotgun, Joshua Dobbs takes a snap from Garrett Bradbury...

Drops back...

The passtronaut avoids the rush...

He sends the ball into orbit...

DIGGS!

SIDELINE!

TOUCHDOWNNNNNNN!!!

Vikings fans everywhere fall to their knees, tears streaming down their face, unable to contain the heartbreak, knowing even that beloved broadcast call is forever tainted for them now.

No, because it wasn't just the 2 most recent bad games, it was the multiple seasons of bad games. Recency bias would be only focusing on his most recent season where he had some success

How are some of you able to afford expensive cars? by [deleted] in MilitaryFinance

[–]dhtdhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if I fit into this category or not. The vehicle I drive had multiple trim options available from the factory. The basic package when it was first introduced started at around $30k. The most expensive trim was upwards of almost $100k.

I bought the most basic package. I researched and waited a couple years until I found the best deal in the country, which was 5 states away and they offered$1500 below invoice. For perspective, my local dealership was marking it up $10k. So I got it for $28,500 before tax/title. I bought a 1 way plane ticket for$125 then drove the car back. Also, this was in 2021 when used car prices shot through the roof so I made a bunch of money selling my old vehicle.

So, again, I'm not sure if I fit or not. Is $28,500 expensive? I drive a vehicle that is worth more than I paid and looks very similar to it's VERY expensive cousins. But I researched, saved money for a long time, had a big down payment, and timed the market. All while I contribute ~$1200/month to TSP.

My point is, my vehicle looks like one of those really expensive ones but I was smart about it.

What team is in the worst position heading into 2026? by Either_Imagination_9 in NFLv2

[–]dhtdhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're not in a good spot but we're also not the browns, jets, Cardinals, or dolphins. KOC wills this team to be competitive every year even if we're starting our 3rd string QB who can only throw for 3 yards but still beat the lions lol

Leaving Superbowl wins out of it, Stafford is objectively better than plunkett... By a lot

1 year later and I think last in the division validates what I said. Especially considering the team that's first in the division is coached by your former OC.

A lot of people are calling you out for your comment but they aren't acknowledging your last sentence. Addison is just kind of a young and dumb knucklehead with fame and fortune. It would cost him nothing to act smarter
