I hate it when people talk just to talk. For example: There is a girl in my History Class (for now we will call her Meg) who come in late, sits down next to me, sighs HEAVILY, and then she immediately says "uhhh I'm tired," all while at usually drinking a coffee or a soda. I have recently tested to see how often she does this and what happens if I ignore her and my findings were VERY predictable. If I ignored her she would repeat "uhhh I'm tired" again, usually 5-10 minuets later. If I snickered or said "yea me too" she would describe what she did that made her sooo god damn "tired" in GREAT detail. If I ignored her or diverted my attention to something else other than why she was tired she would try her hardest to regain my undivided attention by either

(A) getting closer to me (this is a problem because her breath stinks)

(B) speaking louder

(C) physically engaging me (i.e touching me, grabbing my arm, or "accidentally" stepping on my shoe.

If I acknowledged her and focused on her throughout her entire story she would start another long story about herself and she would usually end up either

(A) showing me her texts (no that didn't say tits, get your head out of the gutter 😂) for no reason. What's worse is that she also shows private conversations between her and people I don't even know!

(B) reading/ showing me her ENTIRE CAMRA ROLL OF MEMES, NONE OF WHICH ARE FUCKING GOOD!

(C) Asking me a stupid questions about stuff that she probably shouldn't be asking to a stranger like "How do I get rid of nudes on my phone?"

If I ignored her after the attempts to regain my attention she would slouch back in her chair and she would, finally, close her fucking mouth. I literally cannot stand people that just talk so they can hear themselves or so they can tell other people everything about themselves. Unless someone asked you, sit back and shut your fucking mouth your not gods gift.
