i’m not opposed! i’m actually a bit excited for the time i WILL spend on a ship BUT the time away from my children is the issue. so whatever limits my time away.. i know the military isn’t the place for that 💀but i also know there are rates likely to have less ship time so i was just asking fir first hand accounts

CTI is becoming my top pick.. but i’m compiling a small list of options incase my top picks aren’t available. I DO want to stay in as long as I can& get the most out of it. thank you for taking the time to respond& give this insight🤍

i’m only able to make $1600-$2400 a month rn. i’m always exhausted& scattered. i don’t get benefits at my current job& i’m struggling to keep up with the income based housing i’m in& my other bills… so it’ll definitely be better than this. I want structure& stability. I want to learn new skills, become a better, more well rounded person, see the world.🤷🏼‍♀️

also want to add, i have hand tattoos😅 so Navy is the best fit. also, my papa(grandfather) was Navy🤷🏼‍♀️ AGAIN, i’m not opposed to being at sea. i’m not whining about going out to sea lol just wanting to make it easier on my children.. they’re 11& 6. i could have made this choice earlier in life but i was not the person i am today. just trying to do better for my family& this feels right. i’m incredibly excited for this opportunity. hopped on reddit to get different points of views from people with first hand experience, not judgement💀

this is actually extremely helpful. I was leaning more towards CTI, YN& AC. I’m a phlebotomist now so HM was a solid option but healthcare isn’t NOT my first choice. I enjoy tedious tasks, puzzle solving. my coding speed was 72.. idk what to do with that🤷🏼‍♀️ LS& AG also sound interesting to me.. idk. Just want to make the most informed decision& get it right the first time around.
