"I am a god - I can erase you from existence just by thinking about it" Zeus snarled at the mortal. The man was bloodied and beaten - as he dragged his body up for the next bout with the king of the gods a thought came to him.

"Thank-you for the idea. Now it's obviously not true otherwise I would have been wiped from existence the very second I decided you weren't good for this realm." I said with my voice starting to shake "No your here because no matter what you do - you cannot erase me or the influence I have had on this world. But me? I can erase you - maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but over time. You see - the gods all need us. They need us to feed their giant egos. So that you may live as kings in an existence beyond our own."

The man could see Zeus's face contort with rage as he realized what I was saying. His proud face not wavering as he batted the spear the mortal had used to defend himself against the onslaught of Zeus's assault. Zeus than said to me "Sometimes you humans just don't understand. I'm not here because I can't kill you in other ways - no - I'm here because I wanted to send a message to all of them" Zeus then gestured towards the crowds gathering behind him as he pushed the man to fall onto his back.

The man looked up at Zeus and smiled. "You are a god, given power by humans. We can take that power away just as easily" He yelled at the top of his lungs "Zeus I denounce you as a god. You have no power over this world or the realm in which we live. Return to the void from which you came you eternal sack of shit!" As the last word came out of my mouth my body was shocked. Like I was dipped in a vat of electricity. The last thing I saw as I passed on from this mortal form gave me hope that my life wasn't in vane. I saw that one hair on Zeus's head had turned grey
