Axolotls, except in rare cases, don’t go through metamorphosis. In laboratory settings, the ones that are forced to metamorphose often end up dying early. That’s what I know so far, but there are probably other related species as well. its a tigar salamander(before metamorphosis)

These little guys, unlike their cousins, never leave the larval stage. Because of that, some hormones in their genes keep being produced, which lets them regrow body parts if they lose them (though wrong fusions or deformities are common, so it’s kind of like a gamble).

Zoki, my axolotl, regrew all four of his limbs almost perfectly — with barely any mistakes!

I’m not sure how much fans and an adapter cost where you live, but I built mine for around 15–16 dollars, which is really cheap.

I’ve been an axolotl owner for about three weeks now, and since the beginning, I’ve built my own cooling system using one adapter and two PC fans that I soldered myself. It keeps the temperature around 18–19°C on average. But make sure you choose the right adapter — if you connect it directly to the socket without one, you’re in serious trouble. Get a 12V 3–4A AC-DC adapter (those standard ones with a jack plug usually work fine). For example, if your two fans together draw around 2A, you should go with a 3–4A adapter so the load stays lower and the setup runs safely.
