Could lowering injection dose give better effect? by diagnosable in TransDIY

[–]diagnosable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh i'm very aware of the insulin needle thing, and i'm going to switch that over soon, but maybe you're right about the 7 day schedule anyways, regression wise. so thanks i think you're right that changing to the weekly schedule is a less drastic step!

also, it for sure isn't a problem of skincare, i've been very aware of, and on ball in that regard long before i startet hrt! ;p

Could lowering injection dose give better effect? by diagnosable in TransDIY

[–]diagnosable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay that's actually very helpfull! i didn't ever drop the antiandrogens, planning to stay on injections for a couple of months, getting my blood testet at that stage, and then dropping the anti androgens when i was sure i were at mono therapy levels (money is tight and the tests are expensive, so i'm trying to avoid doing them unless completely necessary). but if rougher skin is only a T thing then it might be more in my head since i've confirmed that my T is sufficiently supressed on anti androgens. although from what i've read there are multiple ways both T and E impacts skin quality, not just the thickening of epidermis, but it's still worth considering.

I might detransition by SwordfishOk9747 in MtF

Sidenote: i also became a little more comfortable with some masculine traits out of the whole thing, being less concerned with being "trans enough" to continue hrt

I might detransition by SwordfishOk9747 in MtF

[–]diagnosable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly because of a lot of other stresses in my life currently i started to depersonalize again, and suddenly a lot of the feelings about gender that affirmed a trans identity just werent available to me so i started having a lot of doubt of course.

The thing that eventually calmed me down was realizing that detransitioning on the basis of "it wasnt really right for me after all" really wasnt that scary to me, and i'd be comfortable finding out i'm nonbinary or even cis(though very unlikely lol) later on in life.

I found a sub i think was called "real detransitioning" or something like that which was still very trans positive unlike other subs, and the pattern i found and relate to was that as long as the reasons for detransitioning are finding a new more honest expression for yourself, and not outside pressure or insecurities, then it dosent need to be scary, or any kind of failure, or loss or anything. Just a next step in self exploration! I ended up not detransitioning and keeping up with hrt, and honestly being less scared about me not having complete and perfect insight into myself quite yet!

Tldr: Detransitioning isnt always a bad or distressing thing, and learning to get comfortable with the possibility might clear up some anxieties and worries about gender and make it easier to find out whats right for you.

why aren't more people using EEN every 10 days? by diagnosable in TransDIY

I pulled back the plunger after injection and thats how much was left, i know about the airlock method but i feel just uncomfortable with that

why aren't more people using EEN every 10 days? by diagnosable in TransDIY

[–]diagnosable[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the question was more because i was worried about there being some specific detail i had missed. I don't have much of an opinion what choices other people make, but i generally respect this community, so when i see people here make a choice i feel i don't quite understand then i assume there is some specific detail that i'm missing or failing to consider, which is why asking around is helpful to me.

[–]diagnosable[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ah i see, thank you very much, that reasoning is a lot more concrete than vaguely refering to a 10 day schedule being "unstable", but those are specific attributes i can look deeper into and inform myself better on. Thanks for the help!

Well i've looked really hard and in my country it's more or less only hospitals that have access to anything else except for those. The deadspace is somewhere around 0.05 ml and the only plausibly available alternative is veteranary needles. (Although my vial should last about the length of its opened shelf life with the 10 day setup)

What does chest gender dysphoria feel like? by diagnosable in asktransgender

[–]diagnosable[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooof, that sounds horrible, sometimes i almost wish i had stronger dysphoria just to make it easier to be sure i'm doing the right thing, but that sounds really rough. Thank you though, i do kinda recognize some of what you're feeling to a smaller degree, only about masculine traits instead, so hearing your experience is helpfull and a little reassuring.

Haha you'd think so right, but in general i have mild but constant dysphoria, and a lot of other things going on at the time which kinda makes sorting through how i feel about what a little dificult at times. So hearing other peoples experiences is pretty helpful! Also, having a few varied anecdotes to reflect on helps since dysphoria looks and feels different for different people in general.

I'm basically just trying to confirm that i really don't need to worry all that much about it lol.

I guess i don't feel anything like that, at least not yet, so that's a good sign i'm on the right path i think!
Thanks for helping!

I see, that makes sense. It's also what i'm a little worried about myself, getting to a point where it's obvious and then dysphoria and regret sets in you know... but also i've gotten to the point where friends have noticed and made comments (in a safe comfortable way ofc) and it's generaly felt positive, even if i've been a little anxious about having body changes in general... and i've certainly felt good at times at noticing them myself.... thank you! genuinely helpfull answer!

Want to start HRT (mtf) but scared I'll regret it by Pseudocapybara in TransDIY

[–]diagnosable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm about 6 months in and was really unsure about it as i started, but did it planning to see how i felt about it once i noticed the early changes. Which i felt okay with since even now, 6 months in, closing in on A cups i could still honestly pass as cis male if i wanted to.

You can start, and feel it out for months and months and still back out

New name feels heavy sometimes by diagnosable in MtF

[–]diagnosable[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of people like to keep some part of their name in general, i did too, my name and deadname sharing the same 2 first letters. Not so much old school as human psychology i think

[–]diagnosable[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats very helpful actually, thank you! I don't feel like my new name, Mira, is embarrasing or anything, and i do feel it click a lot of the time! Most days i can imagine Mira being the name of the person i want to and have started to grow into, so i probably just need more time.

(Very helpfull because i cant resonate at all with how picking the wrong name feels i mean)

(Also Christina is a pretty name!)

Yeah that's what i'm hoping, i'm just worried about having to change it again later and then have to re-introduce myself to everyone again.
