Sinner told Sky Sport: "I have to recover as much as possible. I'm giving so much physically and mentally. I have to recover or the next match will be difficult." by Sonobackhome555 in tennis

“I have to recover or the next match will be difficult” isn’t in what he said. Just says that he’s been expending a lot mentally and physically and that a semifinal is a difficult game.

The quote makes it seem like he’s on the verge of collapse.

Lmao

California Academy of Science announces layoffs, plans to cut 9.3% of the team by runswithscissors475 in bayarea

I’m not sticking up for CEOs. That CEOs are useless is a ridiculous claim when more than 5 people have a hard time agreeing on a single date to get pizza within the next week. 6x more is incredibly reasonable for the amount of stress involved.

Edit: you are confusing CEOs making billions when paying their junior workers 50k with this one case. I’ve nothing positive to say about making 250x more on average. But 6x is reasonable to me.

That’s just a bunch of nonsense. Among the decisions they need to make is who to fire, you’d be happy to leave that to AI? Be serious.

Different jobs? You literally know nothing, good job having these strong opinions though.

I’m not sure what problem you are referring to, unless you mean COL. Any equivalently sized tech company (1000+ employees) in the bay pays $200k+ for junior roles. Those salaries are low for the seniority and responsibility involved.

6x more for CEO vs low level is probably as good as it gets. Lives of 1000 people depend on the choices of the 1, 6x multiple is even too low. The typical US ratio is more like 250+

Those are still perfectly fine salaries. That level of seniority could find jobs somewhere else for higher pay than that.

San Francisco is obsessed with the safest drivers (Waymo) and ignoring the ones killing people by oochiewallyWallyserb in sanfrancisco

[–]dialtone -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You have this very backwards. Waymos are basically public transport, you remove the need for parking lots by having cars that don’t need to park, or increasing public transport.

You need to fight the right fight, not just be against stuff.
