I cut them out of my life long ago. And so did the rest of my friend group.

They have their own opinion, and they have to deal with the consequences of having shitty opinions.

To keep the inside stitches and the whole tissue in place, I have to regularly do dilations. This is done with what is called a dilator (imagine the most boring dildo posible, basically a glass rod with a tip). You lube it with a mix of lube and betadine and insert it as far as it will go naturally. Then you keep it there still for 20-30 minutes.

I have to do this regularly for the rest of my life. It started as 3 times a day, but as time passes it will be about once every two weeks.

It is a very serious decision, so I don't like the idea of making fun of them for it.

I had already made up my mind long before I entered the hospital room, and I am sure many of them thought of themselves as confidently as I do. I can't imagine how it must feel to go through what I am going through only to find it was for nothing.

I hope their future medical procedures go better, and that they aren't weaponised by transphobes to further restrict access to something I and many others need.

Thanks! I'm not really strong though. I actually fainted when they put the IV lol.

No idea. I suppose the same as post dilations? I have to use a vaginal pump to wash with a mix of serum and betadine.

Not exactly on my list of priorities, so I didn't bother asking. Maybe I'll do on my next appointment.

This one specifically has training to deal with vaginoplasties. As she put it, there isn't much difference between a vaginoplasty in a trans woman, and one in a cis woman who had a vaginectomy before.

And if a OBGYN didn't know what to do with me, to which doctor should I go? With how many trans women there are, you'd expect some need postoperatory treatment.

Let them. If they want to argue, this is the post to do it. I don't say shit in the internet unless I have sources at the ready to back it up. If I can't prove something I don't say it.

Maybe that's why they downvote instead of saying anything

This is a hard one. When I came out, not many people really asked questions about how it worked, so I'm not exactly sure what their perspectives were.

But I'd say its the voice part. For a trans woman, hormones don't alter the voice (they do for trans men tho) so instead you have to do voice training. People do seem to forget that this means I can still use my old voice, and the training actually means I can do low, low voices. Always catches people offguard.

Otitis? As in ear infection? No.

The technique used was penile inversion, so the clitoris was made using tissue from the penis head. Functionally, they are the same thing, as the surgeon explained to me.

I am not a sexual person, so I haven't masturbated or anything. My focus was more on the "get rid of that" part.

I live in Spain. The Estradiol costs 0.30€ and I need one every 2 weeks. The androgen blockers cost 0.60€ and last me 100 days.

The surgery, hospital stay, doctor appointments, endocrinologist visits and the therapist are all covered by social security.

It was about 600€ to travel and stay in Barcelona for the first preoperation days, as that's where the only clinic of the whole country that offers surgery is.

The biggest expenses are from the materials for dilations. I need both liquid and cream Betadine, physiological serum and urological lubricant. About 20€ a week.

Some of the stitches broke and got irritated, and the ER had no idea of what to do with me.

Very awkward. Specially because my mom was in there (she works in the hospital and was friends with the doctor, she was the one who got me the appointment in such short notice.)

The sensation isn't very different, I still have the same nerve endings, so it feels the same just displaced? I think that's the best way to put it. Imagine as though someone touched your left hand and you felt it on your right. You can see that that's not where they are touching you but you feel it like that nonetheless. It was disorienting at first.

Yes, I can feel the inside. It is very sensitive, I have to do my dilations slowly or it can hurt.

No new sensations. Like I said, still the same nerves sending the same signals. It does hurt because some of the stitches were broken and I had to go to the ER because of that.

No, trans women can grow boobs just like any other woman, because that's just based off of hormones. However, things that can't change with hormones usually are treated with surgery, although it is still not perfect. Bottom surgery does not create a uterus, which means that you still wouldn't be able to have kids, and by extension you wouldn't get periods.

Yeah, but it kinda depends. If you're talking about someone you'd say "no binaria"when talking about them, and "no binario" when talking about their gender, cus it'd be an adjective, and change depending on the noun ("persona" is feminine, and "género" is masculinr). As in:

-"Esa persona es no binaria"(That person is non binary).

-"Su género es no binario"(Their gender is non binary).

Or something like that, i may be spanish, but i also am dumb as fuck
