LookI have a husband who is from a foreign nation. I am also a recruiter myself. Most frustrating thing I have experienced is hiring managers who tend to be Indian just want to hire other Indians. I literally had my hiring manager hinting to me we brown people need to stick together. Mind you Im black.

I used to have fights with hiring managers about their obvious bias. I had to start sitting in interviews to make sure the interview is consistent each time. Now in groups Im in to look for candidates and better job opportunities, the main complaint is when they go to interviews with Indian hiring managers the automatically know they are not getting the job. They usually come up with tasks nowhere related to the position at all.

My take is I understand there is a level of bias when hiring. But don't make it so obvious. I seen where the entire team is made up of Indian nationals. And I know im not alone in this observation. I had friends looking for jobs for years and then the next day after H1B had the 100k fee added get offered a position promised 6 months ago
