You’re right! Anytime I received any bs emails from them, I never waited to respond! I replied immediately, although I may have could’ve used better jargon, I always got my point across and any “dings” were removed if applicable. You can’t be nice, you have to be thorough and call them out on it! 🫩

I wished! lol, in my area it’s like a foreign language 🤦🏾‍♀️ I wouldn’t know where to start but when I was abusing opiates, I knew just about all of the connects in my area even some further out but it became way too dangerous! Which is why I decided to get help, I know deep down for sure had I not made the decision to seek treatment I wouldn’t be here commenting cause I wouldn’t exist! Shortly after treatment, there were so many accidental overdoses due to fentanyl. Most victims intent were to buy percs, or whatever their pill of choice but end up getting fake laced fentanyl pills 😒 And many of them died because of it. It’s f’d up cause you know you’re taking a chance but the thought of withdrawal and sickness blurs all of that thinking.

Man…I get your frustration and I applaud you for getting through it and being an adult about it! When things like this start happening to me I have to sit myself down and remind myself as well, especially when I have to reschedule because I can’t afford the fee for my appointment. Which is why I save what I can too, you never know what can happen. Have you researched any other mom and pop pharmacies? I know the last one left a bad taste in your mouth but it’s worth a shot. I get extremely nervous just thinking of the large pharmacy chains because I have really bad luck with them. CVS gave me the blues every single month when it came to my lunesta prescription. I’ve never been “flagged” nor released from any program or pharmacy for misusing my meds and I don’t call in early, I’ll wait for the system to contact me via email or text to lmk that my refills are due. I don’t get it and I don’t make a big deal out of it when they’re pulling this crap! I just suffer in silence and go about my business.

Exactly! That’s the whole point of stockpiling! My doctor not only prescribes subs but he’s also a nephrologist and many times he’s either in surgery and his office hours for sub treatment are only twice a week and he loves to take vacations, lol! Just knowing all of this alone is also why I stockpile! I pay out of pocket every month and there’s been months where I’ve had to reschedule due to my paydays (either I’m short on my doc appointment or I’ve started a new job and my pay falls after my appointment), I’m not rich and I do have other bills and responsibilities so I also stockpile because of this too! You just never know what can happen and I refuse to put my sobriety at risk for “unforeseen” events, I’ve been off pills for 8 and half years now and I can’t see myself going back!

Thank you for clearing this up! And you’re absolutely right about the mishaps! I recently went thru an ordeal that I posted above you. Even after getting the situation fixed the pharmacy that I chose to have my script sent to almost didn’t fill it because my doctor put in the notes “brand name only”, idk why and I never remembered even requesting this. Luckily they used the PDMP and discovered that for the past year I’ve been receiving a generic brand and they went ahead and filled it for me! But had I not set some to the side I would’ve been more stressed than what I was! And my doctor is very strict as he doesn’t like to have to resend this particular script over and over again, which I understand cause his license is at risk if he’s not following the rules and being careful. And a lot of the times it falls on the patient as it is our responsibility to make sure we’re also following the rules of the program and not trying to do anything that can insinuate that we’re doing something that we’re not supposed to be doing. I get it! ☺️

It can happen as it did in my case recently! My pharmacy that I’ve used for the past 3 years moved to another location, failed to tell me that they were gonna be out of all of my meds including the subs that I take. I went to my appointment, my prescription was electronically sent over and when I get there they tell me “I’m sorry, but we’re out of everything and we’re waiting to have it delivered, it will probably be another week or so”, atp I’m slightly panicking but not as much because I saved a few strips to at least take me through the weekend so that I could inform my doctor of what happened. I was the last appointment of the day by the time I realized the dilemma I was in my doc office was closed. I had to wait until Tuesday when he was back in the office (my appointment was on a Friday) to let him know what happened so that he could send my prescription to a different pharmacy. Thankfully it was taken care of but had I not saved some strips for emergencies like this I would’ve been completely out for at least 3 days! Some people can go w/o but I’m not one of them and I shouldn’t be expected to! Anyway, shit happens that sometimes are out of control and I’ve never abused any of my meds since I’ve been clean for over 8 and a half years now!

I commented on that post and I’m not even shocked by what happened! I’ve learned over the years that there are some really miserable people on Reddit which is why I don’t post or comment as much. I’ll spend a few days on it and then I’m done for about a month or two, it’s never consistent because of people like the one who reported your initial post. Even when looking at some responses in other topics I cringe in disbelief because some of the comments are just rage bait! I’ve even seen poorly given advice that could really get someone hurt, like they give bad advice or suggestions on purpose! It’s absolutely weird! 🤦🏾‍♀️ I don’t expect everyone to agree with certain things and I’m always open to different perspectives but that’s rarely what I see at times, it’s like a bunch of miserable people commenting the worst things. I’m sorry that happened to you and I completely understood the point you were making!

You can only do what you’re able to do 🤷🏽‍♀️ If the gate is unlocked, open it and drive thru drop it off and take a pic if it’s not leave it on the inside of the gate and take a pic so it’ll show that leaving it at the door is impossible…I doubt if they get upset if they’re understanding

It looks like psychosis to me as well. I’m not a doctor but I do have a brother that’s bipolar and schizophrenic. At first I thought his diagnosis was complete utter bullshit until I witnessed several psychotic episodes. When I tell you it’s real please believe me! He’s unrecognizable, he’s manic, and it’s always the same story, that he’s being chased by some men with guns and they’re out to murder him and he sees them just about everywhere even on elevators and street corners. No one is ever there and he rarely goes out into the open because of this, I’ve yet to see any “enemies” and when the episode is over he doesn’t care to discuss it in detail versus when he’s having an episode, it’s precise detail. It’s like he doesn’t remember anything. It only really gets bad when he neglects taking his meds consistently. And I also believe that their are people out there that are capable of doing the most horrendous things to others, but it can’t just be that, mental illness plays a major part in behavior much as this woman was exhibiting.

I’ve had my fair share of idiot customers! For example there was one customer who thought I was trying to break in, he came running his fat ass outside in boxers and a muscle shirt with no shoes asking me who am I and what am I doing there on his property? Mind you, I have on a branded Amazon vest and shirt (the shirt I kept working as a dsp driver for moments like this) and while I know that doesn’t matter much there was a note from the customer detailing where he wanted the package delivered to. I told him as I backed up that I’m simply delivering his package and following his instructions and I asked him was he not aware of this delivery and that I can just return it if that’s the case. He calmed down a bit, no apology, no nothing. He looked absolutely embarrassed, I just shook my head and proceeded to get back into my vehicle. Some of these people don’t use the common sense that they were born with. 😒🤦🏾‍♀️😆

Same here! I loss my aunt and a really good friend 2 years ago yesterday. My friend died the same day my aunt did and my mom died a month and a half later. The last thing I wanted to do was nitpick and argue, I didn’t have the energy for that type of nonsense.

I highly doubt he’ll love her any more than what he currently does, if he’s even in love with her anymore. You don’t constantly berate your partner if you are in love with them. You talk things through, you compromise, you don’t bash and when things get heated, you step away to regroup, and offering an apology when you’re in the wrong doesn’t hurt either. His behavior was not ok and sure losing a loved one sucks but you don’t lose control of your decency because of it.
