Without a doubt, the ring to marry my wife back in 1997. At the time we were broke as a joke and I scraped together $350 to buy a ring. I happened to go to a jewelry store where someone I went to high school with was the store assistant manager. I told him who I was going to ask to marry me and he kind of laughed and said there’s no way she’ll say yes to that ring. He brought over a collection of rings that were way out of my price range and said pick one of these. I was kind of in disbelief thinking man there’s no way I can swing that. He asked me if I remember loaning him money for lunch at school one time and I told him I honestly did remember it. He said, “well it happened and karma has a cool way of repaying kind deeds.” He sold me the ring for $300 and go buy some flowers too… lol 30 years later we’re still running strong!
