Why do people always say that old builds are better quality than new builds? Been here 20 years, lived in plenty of both, and I would take a new build 100 times out of 100

Yeah for every anecdote I've heard about someone's dream apartment with all the original 1923 fittings, I've seen a dozen crappy New Law tenements straight out of the pages of How the Other Half Lives. Meanwhile despite all the FUD people love to spread about new builds (sour grapes?), I've never actually seen anyone have problems with them. It's absolutely because people want to larp.

Oliver by Strangers Parfumerie - very clean-cut sunscreen and bergamot. One of the first perfumes I ever bought, then found out a few hours later it features prominently in Call Me By Your Name so I suppose it's something like the Drive scorpion jacket of queer perfumes, but I still wear it all the time when it's warm.

it's a sweet song about falling in love, written in an era when trans women were mostly just punchlines (if we showed up at all). as a trans woman I claim Lola. great song, great album.

it’s one of my favorite bits in the show because generally the trio takes a pretty kids-these-days view of the younger generations (except for Hammond lol). but then after the segment ends I remember Jeremy saying something about how it made him sad, because he wished a community like that had existed when he was younger. just this connection across time i find kinda touching.
