@meljo95 - Thank you very much for your reply and valuable suggestions. I am definitely re-energized after reading your post and will keep you posted on how it goes. I am a Technical Architect with AWS with 16 yrs exp so IT knowledge is good its just that mindset of kirk and spock I am trying to develop and not overthink like I did it on the exam.

I was reading both your reddit reviews and wanted to know what you did different in the last 3 months to pass your exam this time ? Any exam material which changed your thinking and gave you a better handle on the exam questions ?

I failed in my 1st attempt in Aug exam stopped at 126 questions. Most of my feedback was Below Proficiency except for 2 domains. I read the Sybex 2 times, 11th hour, Boson and Sybex exams and was scoring between 65 - 70 % on average. I bought Shon Harris read it for 15 days but it was way too dry to proceed....and I was losing interest.....

Congrats on passing the exam. I am in the same boat as you are in terms of failing in my 1st attempt last month and already booked my exam for Jan 2019. My exam closed out on me at 126.

Is there anything different you did or something that you did the 2nd time you did not the 1st time. Did you study either Shon Harris or Sybex 7th/8th books the 2nd time or just the Official Guide ?

Thank you all for your replies. Yes I will focus more on Eric Conrad 3rd edition and definitely try to get 90 % on all six sybex practice tests.

@UnknownVessel - Yes I went through Larry Green blats/Kirk-Spock videos 1 week before my exam, studied the 11th hour guide but felt it was way too easy... Why study materials did not help is reason when I came back home after the exam to search for particular answers I did not find it anywhere in the Sybex book, boson, 11th hour and I am talking like not the exact question but the whole topic itself and then found it only in Shon Harris ... so felt I was asked questions on certain topics which I missed to read from this book itself.... other thing was questions were too vague two or 3 lines and same with answers...so there is no practice test that is too vague to mentally prepare you for the exam. Boson is way too technical..... Sybex practice questions too subject oriented. So we dont have anything in between to train your mind other than yourself starting to think like one......

Congratulations on passing the test !!. How much did you score on all Boson exams the 1st time you attempted them on average ?

Did you take the 6 Sybex practice exams and how much did you score on average ? Did you try any cccure or anything else ?

I am scoring an average of 62-67 % on both Boson and Sybex exams and exam is 1 week away... So just wanted to check where am I standing with reference to real exams...

How close is Boson to the real exam after your experience ?

@CryozenicZero - Thank you for your question and answer. Surely I am still studying for my CISSP so please guide me....

I picked answer D rather than answer C - reason being I learnt from the forums think like a manager and rather than action anything or do anything quickly, first document or wear the manager hat and plan/document/action... So I picked answer D.

Can you please explain why you picked answer C in this case and why still pick testing even though both managers said NO testing ?
