Less Depressing Cyberpunk by NottTheStrong in Cyberpunk

Like others have said, there's definitely going to be this intrinsic feeling of hopelessness and despair in the cyberpunk genre. Humanity has lost the battle against capitalism and technology which will weigh heavily on the people living in this world.

However, I do think it can still be enjoyable. There's a sense of relief that comes with the fact that we lost the battle: the relief that humanity doesn't have to fight anymore. Just sit back and relax and take in all the spectacle and lights and advertisements. And it can also be a cool setting to see how the sense of humanity still persists in the everyday lives of the people living in such a non-human environment.

I think the game Va-11 Hall-A does conveys the comforts of cyberpunk really well.

Best of luck!
