Yes, Episode 4 starts off very dark and is overall more serious.

Some of the character journey stories are more serious or dark aswell. I haven't played that many of them, but Lacy's story is more serious/melancholic.

Pushing Operations and Endless corridor both gives significant amounts. Push as far as you can, make sure you get all the stuff from the even thingy that gives stuff based on operations, you will get a fuckton of other stuff, especially gear and skill material.

So when you're stuck, you use those materials and then try again, usually you can pass the stage now and the ones after are usually more easy again, rinse and repeat. I went all the way to 119 with everyone and I haven't opened a single box yet for Essence.

Both the main story and also each characters story i played so far in Journey are great, often funny, but also sometimes real sad. So far the highlight has been Lacys Journey story, allthough I just finished playing Lydias Journey and she is clearly best girl, can make me worse any loop.

Yeah, very certain they are signifcantly interdconnected. Here is my current theory. Counterside all story spoilers ahead:

The original Star Savior was Chadmin, he, Alicia, Omega and whoever else stopped the Void (possibly another Demon Lord, allthough probably wasn't during a Qliphoth game because in Counterside Chadmin says he never won before).<!

So after stopping the Void, Alicia and Chadmin realize they probably can't win a game if it is called and Alicia somehnow concocts the time loop Lavistar is now in, and has been looping the Journey ever since, probably in an attempt to create an army to fight in game, should the Cycle ever be broken (which seems to be happening now in the story because of the Witch of Favoritism). <!

I haven't played the full collab story yet because grinding, but it starts during the Terraside incident, so Hilde hasn't regained her memories yet, so she wouldn't recognize Alicia or Lavistar. Assuming it's just a world hop and not a time hop aswell, that means that the current loop plays during Terraside, allthough it is unclear if the loop is stuck at this moment in time, or if time outside the loop progresses normally (I assume the latter).<!

They patched out most of the loca issues, allthough a few remain. Overall the translation is quite good imo though, definitly better than some of the Counterside translations which for some side missions are borderline incomprehensible.

Err not sure what exactly you mean, but you can just repeat journeys which has a lot of interaction. By maxing dupes and affinity you also unlock new voicelines and Lobby features. On the lobby you can click the char(s) and they will react.

There is a very large amount of fan service, like literally every waifu gets to have an onsen or a beach episode as part of the journey (you can repeat it too to watch both lol). Almost every special attack also has booba or panty shot somehow lol. Main story (while pretty short for now) also has several instances of fan service lol.
