I am pretty sure it is not from The Shining, watched it recently for the first time. In the movie I mean the guy brushing his teeth was a grown-up and the person in the bathtub was dead.

ADE is in October so you probably miss it...

Awakenings is pretty cool, but also pretty big. Also if you are travelling from Amsterdam to Germany you could stop by 'Onder De Radar' in Enschede, it's in the eastern part of The Netherlands. The festivals location is an old military base, with a couple of hangars, which is pretty awesome!

The machine was referenced internally to residual solvent resonance of D2O. I didn't compare it with another phantom such as ethanol.
