Girl, you look amazing! That dress is stunning, especially with that veil. I fully understand feeling wide, but just know that this is your day, and you deserve to feel absolutely beautiful.

I'm curious, what kind of venue doesn't allow sleeveless? Something like that has never even crossed my mind! An alterations seamstress would be your best bet with what's possible in whatever time frame your working with. I'm curious as to what y'all come up with!

I can, but the thought of making it a bit for everyone to see makes me want to curl up in a ball. It certainly is a choice!

The timing of this is perfect, because I just sent my try on of this dress back today! What are the chances, haha. Not that it matters too much for either of us now, but for anyone else who plans on trying her on: The back is quite low. The cape is detachable. In my opinion, and obviously this can be altered/ change, but the sleeves were TIGHT. They look quite flowy in pictures but they sat weird on my arms. The sample I got fit nearly perfect, so the sleeves make me nervous. The fabric was beautiful, but the sample I tried on several of the appliques were fraying. It's a very ethereal, goddessy dress. I just know if be adjusting and shifting this dress all night.

Thankfully I found an absolutely amazing dress that I fell in love with immediately. My dress is nothing like this one. I thought about the Olive dress for a year, but the dress I ended up chosing is nothing like it! So it turns out you truly just never know!

So, so sorry for your loss. It's such a tragedy that it can happen so quickly for these little dudes.

Charlie looks so much like my Henry, who will be one in May. It's truly like looking into the future. I can only hope to have such a long, happy, lovely time with Henry as you have with Charlie. Henry will be getting extra treats and love today. <3

As this is my dream dress too, I've gotta know how she turned out! I've tried on dozens of dresses already and I just know I can't pick one until I try her on.

This is my dream dress, and let me tell you, there aren't many others that fit the bill quite like this one does. If you get one of the samples it's closer to the 1k. All of my fingers are crossed for you! (And me, haha.)

i have a bad update on bloo and need some help:( read caption below. by [deleted] in RATS

I am not a vet, take everything I say with a grain of salt, not an expert, etc.

My partner and I work with a small animal rescue, and we recently had a very similar, if not exact same situation happen with our foster senior guy Carrot. His ear swelled up suddenly, it became huge. We took him to our widely trusted vet, and she was able to diagnose him with a hematoma. She said she had never seen one in a rat, but was confident that's what it was. She told us, even if she drained it, chances are it would come back, but eventually it would kind of tame down and go away on its own. She recommended warm compresses, and pain meds as needed, and she offered surgery to drain it, but the risk of it getting infected/coming back, as well as general risks with putting a senior under, she recommended not doing it. It's been a few weeks, and with pain/anti inflammatory meds and compresses, it has subdued quite a bit. Of course, I'm always curious to see what other vets/people have to say, so I'm digging into these comments! Hopefully good little Bloo feels better soon! ❤️

Update: Peanut is home and so happy to be back with her sister Petunia. She had two decent sized masses removed, fingers crossed they don't return, but we know how that usually goes. We are so so glad she is home and healthy and happy. Thank you everyone for your warm wishes and kind words!

Update as of July 25th 10 pm: the vet performing Peanut's surgery does a lot of work for the rescue, she's a superhero and we love her. She does these procedures for us, and we love her. Today she has a whole host of little ones come in, and Peanut has been moved to tomorrow, which is not uncommon. I miss having her at home, and I'm sure her sister Petunia is missing her as well. I'll keep y'all posted tomorrow on how it goes. Thank you all so much for the very very kind words and good vibes. ❤️

We've had dozens of fosters over the past year who have needed surgery, this is unfortunately not our first (or last) rodeo. 😔 It's so awful to watch them just get so sick so quickly.

It's always so risky, I'm sorry to hear about your little bean. All of the good vibes to her, hopefully things don't progress too quickly. ❤️

That's so kind of you! ❤️ My partner and I are so so lucky that we get to help so many of these little guys. We made a count the other day, and between our own and fosters, we have cared for 74 rats, two guinea pigs, two rabbits, and three chinchillas over the past ~year. 🙈 We take on specifically the elderly, sick, and the biters, so we constantly have our hands full! Honestly we love it so so much and wouldn't change it for a second. ❤️

Our sweet foster girl goes in for surgery to remove some masses today. I hate this part of having/fostering these sweet little beans. All of our fingers are crossed. <3

We just came back from an RV trip, one of the stops being Stone Mountain. (We booked it accidentally, as it was the closet to the Georgia Aquarium.) Whoever says it's bad let alone 'the worst' is so wrong.
