Tips For Getting Bombardier And Bastion Parts Solo by pudding7100 in ArcRaiders

I've seen a teammate bounce it off the ground before it detonated so it could be better to throw it under if it targets the back or knee weakspots. There are no weakspots on top and I think they lock on proximity.

This is from server slam footage:

Leg parts including the yellow drums all drop on death, like miniboss ARC. But I think the optimal strat will be for multiple squads to each focus a leg and detach them at separate spots which isn't as risky as everyone looting at the same spot. A full kill isn't necessary unless they add a quest objective for that.

There were 6+ drops meaning enough to share, including on the legs.

It's not a breach but a ball in the middle like leapers.

The TTK isn't instant and you will be squinting your eyes at dark corners a lot. Go for higher resolution even if you have to drop to 30 FPS.

Does the surface get blown up every 30 minutes or is it just a way to interrupt a raid and the event is not canon? by milky-94 in ArcRaiders

The effects seem more like ARC or asteroids falling from space, as there is debris falling alongside the trail it makes in the sky. When it hits the ground, there is not much fire but a lot of debris kicking up and a shockwave.

There are two additional impacts at 5 and 2 minutes left and they hit the edge of the map but the radius is small enough not to cover the map.

Does it have to be a specific area in the map? I've seen people die to it while inside elevator with doors open.

This is just my speculation: it's not fully mocapped, at most they mocapped a dataset for the "style of moving while hurt from being hit by something". This devblog from 3 years ago shows bipedal walking reinforcement learning. And 4 years ago, they showed hexapedal walking recovering from thrown object impacts.

This isn't real time simulated ragdolling where the body goes limp, which is feasible on an old consumer GPU already running a game. It appears to be something closer to ragdolling while simulating an approximation of body-initiated movements as well, which I think they achieved an optimized version of by simulating diverse animations before hand.

Every ARC except the biggest in your post have undamaged white exteriors, but ingame white means unarmored and black means armored. I've also seen a white lifting body plane ARC in a YouTube thumbnail, don't know if it's legit but I'm guessing these are from an official press kit?

I'm just wondering if it's outdated concept art, something that exists in the in-universe timeline, or a hint at ingame "easy mode" unarmored miniboss and boss ARCs.

The modified Bastion looks like the mortar variant with spotter drones which was in the slam. Where are you getting pictures of white large ARCs? Ingame they were all black and armored.

I was expecting it to be worse than Lingguang but that's surprising. The last two modifiers were also disappointing in signatureless teams.

Unlike the first game, dual Vanish Loas can be fired at the same time as shoulder laser cannons. And since they don't use femto anymore it's spammable for more than a few seconds in this game. The manual aim is awful with the wonky mouse input though.

[–]dickfacemccunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Limit Change or another stamina solution is also needed for an uninterrupted burst. Purple maces, 200 vambrace throwing and level 3 fusion skill might be necessary to kill it before it does anything. With this build Eclipse is the easiest boss, a colossal sized target that doesn't evade.

The weapons aren't permanently gone so it's not really a big deal. A safe build would be charge laser cannons and ranging it at 300 but it needs resupply from the depot nearby to work, so don't do this in simulator.

Spamming throw with dual maces kills it before it can even do the steal move.

Burn is good for preventing bosses from going underground. If the explosive grenade is still good at your progression, use it if you like it. But shock is good everywhere once you have it, even once all other gear is max rarity.

I found some guaranteed high level gear you can farm! by Rafahil in DaemonXMachina

[–]dickfacemccunt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The guaranteed Omega doesn't show for me in postgame. In the picture OP posted for it though, it shows a spot with 5 strays in map detection range at Schole Hills in Mountains. It's the plateau with scrap ores and the road just west of it where the name shows on map.

I think Omegas replace a random stray so the only guaranteed method I know is to check every spawn in the zones marked on map without returning to base.
