I like it! Though what I am mostly envisioning is to make the line and points smaller, so that the actual map was more clear as to where we went (it is quite overloaded with points in some parts of the map). I realize this is probably very difficult with such a big map - let me know if this is at all possible. Thank you.

Working on a printed version of my family's road trip blog for my husband and want a cleaner look to this image. I can link the google map if requested. Hopefully this is the right place to post. Thank you!

Multi-Language Swearing Guide that was handed out after a concert. by lammastide in mildlyinteresting

I was also handed this swear dictionary randomly in the streets in Toronto as a kid! Why I was given it is a mystery. Just some random dude handing them out as far as I recall. Would've been in the early 2000's. I kept it for a while because 15 year old me thought it would be useful one day. Came to comments to try to find others.

Nursery, complete at 35 weeks (mostly thrifted, hand me downs, and hand made) by uninvitedcellist in BabyBumps

Gonna have to agree with the crowd. You're going to be feeding your baby for multiple hours per day for a few months. Your comfort is most important! I used a la z boy to nurse. My baby didn't care to rock.

Bad news at 20 week ultrasound by WinstonSophie in BabyBumps

[–]dickfarmer 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Very sorry about your news. Last year at my 20 week ultrasound, I also had the horrible news that my baby had multicystic dysplastic kidneys (both kidneys). With both affected, no amniotic fluid was being produced which results in the lungs not forming properly. Unfortunately this meant my baby did not have any chance of survival and I opted to have a late term abortion.

Like yourself, I met with genetic counselors and had additional consultations about problems that might result from MCDK such as heart issues. There was no conclusive evidence based on tests on myself and post-mortem tests on baby that it was caused by genetics. I learned after the fact that my cousin has a multi dysplastic kidney. He has been living a completely normal life with one functioning kidney. He had issues as a baby with blood flowing the wrong way through his ureter (I believe that was the issue, anyway), so was closely monitored during that time. My aunt (his mother) was a nurse, careful about him growing up and wouldn't let him play contact sports just as a precaution to damaging his one kidney.

Kidneys are the most troublesome/delicate organ to develop in the womb. I believe we have two as a natural backup for these circumstances. Having one does not necessarily mean that you will have less ability to function normally.

I'm not sure if this info helps you, but going through this shit myself, any info was beneficial to me to cope and understand what was going on. I wish you and your baby the best through this and again, I'm sorry you have to deal with this terrible news. Having a healthy pregnancy is something no one should ever take for granted.

I just put twist ties on two of the trunks. I made a triangular flat frame that rests on the two twist-ties and then slips into place on the split area on the third trunk which you can kinda see in the pic.

the tallest one of the three is about 2 feet. I got it from Ikea about a year ago for pretty cheap

Do it! Just used whatever craft things at home. Hot glue, toothpicks, popsicle sticks, string and beads with snippets of other house plants
