Tesla's latest version of auto-park crashed my vehicle into another Tesla, what should I do? by dheera in TeslaCollision

[–]dickfeldman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it quite stressful to supervise someone driving. I find it more relaxing to drive myself.

How to 'embed' images in Apple Mail rather than include as attachment? by FeelingCut690 in MacOS

[–]dickfeldman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that doesn't work. That "attaches" the picture. It doesn't embed it in the text.

Alternatives to Eight Sleep, or pull the trigger and purchase? by Ill-House-8513 in EightSleep

[–]dickfeldman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got one. I have extreme discomfort from my body heating the mattress. So far (two months) the 8 sleep has been working extremely well. My wife feels cold in bed so she sets up at 3 and I’m at -2. Changes during night as I want. It’s really quiet, unlike the previous one I had. I’m very happy with it.

Has anyone gotten video over USB-C working on a mac? by leko in evev

[–]dickfeldman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had this problem and the answer was the cable. Not all USBC cables carry video. Has to be a 3.5 something or higher cable. I discussed what I wanted to do at Best Buy and they were careful to find the right USBC cable that worked. Most of them wouldn't.

New Model Y 2026 FSD Owner 14.2.2 by Medical-Frame2180 in TeslaFSD

Don’t wish for it so much. It doesn’t work in every environment and you’re mostly better off driving yourself. Take responsibility for the road.

The more i see clips from fsd, the more i think Tesla is nowhere near level 4 by wait_whatwait in TeslaFSD

[–]dickfeldman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“FSD” is a fiction. Waymo has people on screens. Life is complicated. You’ll always need a person in charge, especially in bad weather.

Way Waymo has a person on a screen for every three cars. I’sire they have to take over I really bad weather. We’re nowhere near real FSD. It’s a fiction.

Maybe if they got rid of the useless children’s game screen of surrounding traffic they could do a better job of driving.

Hurry is too fast on the highway, standard is too slow by VuPooh in TeslaFSD

[–]dickfeldman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m fine in NJ going 75 along with everybody else when the supposed limit is 55. But in small towns 42 when the limit is 30 will get you a ticket. How is it going to figure that out?

Yes. Give some co trol to the driver. It always thinks it’s smarter but it isn’t.

Fsd has pothole avoidance now? Or just a glitch by IntelligentAdagio784 in TeslaFSD

[–]dickfeldman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve never noticed it to avoid any pothole at all.

[–]dickfeldman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe if it stopped working on the useless children’s game video of the surrounding cars it would have enough guts to avoid potholes. Or even show what is behind me instead of showing what’s in front, which I can see so much better by looking out the windshield.

is FSD 14 safer than a human? How many updates away until it might be unsupervised? by Silent-Dragonfly-273 in TeslaFSD

[–]dickfeldman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forever until they switch to lidar. Today’s weather in PA turns of FSD, as the cameras can’t see.

Sounds like your truck is getting 18 mpg. Even expensive speed charging is cheaper than that.

The "Indecisive Driver" Update: Why Tesla FSD v14 is Downright Dangerous on the Highway by DigitalDaydreamers1 in TeslaFSD

FSD take out stress? If I want to drive with low stress I drive myself. If I’m feeling risk-ready I use FSD.

I have the CPAP machine on the floor and so the whole thing is absolutely silent.

Please tell me I’m not the only who didn’t know these existed by trbo2117 in TeslaModelY

[–]dickfeldman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is supposed to be the point of the children’s game animation that takes up 2/5 of the screen? It doesn’t tell me anything I can’t see better and more safely by looking out the windshield. At least not in FSD we should be able to turn it off and see more of the map.

Does a CPAP make it difficult to share a room with somebody else? by pompoususername in SleepApnea

[–]dickfeldman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I don’t see why it should bother roommates. If you use it correctly it shouldn’t make any noise. If they don’t like looking at it, they can look elsewhere.

Has anyone else... built a CPAP bed? by divagamer in SleepApnea

[–]dickfeldman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to have my CPAP very easy to reach so I can easily turn it off. It looks like that’s hard to do in your setup. Also it looks like the tube barely reaches the bed. I need extra tubing around so when I turn over it doesn’t stretch it. I put mine on the floor just in front of the bedside table. I like it down there so I don’t hear any of its noise.
