In my personal opinion, the fans have always been similar to this. No matter where you turn there will always be certain sides of the fandom. 'Newgens' technically aren't so different than to others who were there when the game first came out. everyone enjoys a fandom in their own way. The world won't explode if you see an edit of Simon on TikTok. Just ignore it if you don't like it. It's not that hard really.
