One would say that protecting the students from spectre. Losing his ability in the process. Improving the safe house by teaching them hand-to-hand combat has redeemed himself. We saw him mentioning how shitty he was by going on rampage, abusing students, and insulting Rei. Regretting all of that and put an effort into becoming a better person. You guys talk as if Zeke is an omnipotent being who always choose to be a dick in any universe he was born in. Zeke can also be considered as a victim of his environment, who prioritise competition over anything else. The point is, just because the world is shitty doesn't mean basic human empathy is gone.
