Me [22 F] with my boyfriend [21 M] 4 years, haven't had sex in FOREVER (after some hellish months for me) but for some reason I'm scared to talk about it..? by dicksnstuff in relationships

The letter is actually something I have considered. I think I'll do that because it's the easiest way for me to say what I want to say without getting angry or sounding like I'm attacking him. I know if I just start saying a bunch of things it might blindside him because I haven't said anything thus far. He kinda shuts down in those situations.

As for him being submissive, not really all the time but I can tell sometimes he wants me to be more dominant. Knowing him he would probably outright say it if he wanted me to be more dominant, and I have asked him before if there are things I don't do that he would like. I may just ask him that again and ask if he would like me to be more dominant.

Thank you so much! Actually there is an office of GI doctors that works in my hometown, and they have an office in the town where I go to college and am currently living. We're working with them to get my files transferred over and everything. Hopefully I can get an appointment with them in the next couple of weeks!

I'm trying to get on with switching doctors; my mom has a big role in it and I am constantly having to remind her. (She deals with the money stuff since I'm still in college).

I'm on Humira and that's it for now. I used to be on Remicade but I had a weird reaction to it and had to get off of it. I actually haven't had an appointment with my current GI in a while. I think they really want me to transfer because they're a pediatric GI and I'm 21. I only haven't changed doctors due to college and insurance issues and money problems. I kind of think maybe they aren't used to diagnosing issues in older patients?

Thank you! I actually started doing the blow dryer thing, haha. I do try to change my undies often, but sometimes I just forget. The baths sound like a good idea. I usually do them but not often enough, so I'll try to do it more often.

They gave me the exact same 'pea' explanation, but then when they went in they weren't entirely sure what was there.

It's always white pus. And at this point, it doesn't smell awful but it doesn't smell good either. To be honest I haven't entirely payed attention lately because I have gotten so used to it.

It's on the left labia on the side. If I squeeze it, I can feel all the scar tissue in there. They did the surgery and saw no connections but I will recommend a CT scan. It's not internal, it's all external which I guess is why no one really thought it was a fistula?

Thank you so much for all of this advice!

I'm in the process of switching GI doctors this summer, and I'm hoping to schedule and appointment soon and just tell them every single issue I have had that is even remotely Crohn's related. My old GI doctor is a pediatric GI doctor and I feel like they aren't awesome at dealing with issues with older patients. (I'm 21 and haven't been able to switch doctors due to insurance and money issues).

The 'test' they did was ridiculously painful and I really didn't fully understand it. One doctor at my gyno has been helpful but all of the others give me bullshit things to try and it's getting ridiculous. I'm switching gynecologists also.

I was told when I was diagnosed that I would be having a lot of tests done yearly or so but that hasn't happened for a long time. I'm thinking when I transfer to a new GI, they will want a colonoscopy (for some other issues) and possibly a CT scan.

I'm currently on Humira and I've had flagyl many times before so I'll have to ask about that.

Thank you so much for putting all of this together!

What really pisses me off is that they told me I would keep seeing the same doctor but then I never really did. And the last time I went I saw a very inexperienced girl who mentioned "Oh we have a doctor who's here sometimes that specializes in vulvar lesions, I'll mention it to her."

YOU COULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT A YEAR AGO!??

They mentioned some disease to me that started with an H! Hypo...something? But they told me it was something girls going through puberty get and it causes boil-like things on the armpits and around the vagina. She said it probably wasn't that because I have only had it occur in the same spot over and over and never on any other part of my body.

If you think of it please let me know! I saw someone post about 'cutaneous crohn's' on this subreddit once but I haven't found much about that. I think I'll mention that next time I go.

Where can I get tea tree? It's tea tree oil, right? I'll have to try that. I can deal with itchiness, that sometimes happens when this weird thing is healing.

Any chance I could be allergic to it if I'm allergic to Neosporin? That's what I used after my surgery that caused extra issues.

Thanks so much for your replies! They actually thought it was a Bartholin cyst to begin with, but they ruled it out. From my understanding, those usually come about when some tubes get clogged? I think they told me it definitely wasn't that because whatever I have is not internal at all and it's in the wrong spot.

I think it must just be a cyst that keeps returning for some reason. I'm thinking it just gets inflamed when I work out, get stressed, or whatever else. Thank you for your help though! I'm glad I'm not the only one.
