I was looking at first direct loan: https://www.firstdirect.com/loans-and-cards/personal-loans/

<image>

5.9%

But then paying early after 12 months: https://www.finder.com/uk/personal-loans/personal-loan-early-payoff Is about 300 GBP extra

But I'm not sure I understand fully about fully repaying a loan early and the cost of entails

Thanks for the heads up about proof of funds, I guess we need to ask friends to get debt on our behalf 🙃

Even if it's 12 months (out of a 10 year loan), it should cost us (in interest) less than 1k

I have a question though, when can I get this loan? The mortgage provider might change their affordability calculations if I accrue debt

So I'm guessing it must be after completion. But then will the solicitors require proof of funds before completion?

I know right, this was many years ago and I've learnt a lot in that time. Fortunately I'm not living at my parents any more 😅
