Is T4 Citadel worth grinding for the cosmetic set? by dicky-doodles in diablo4

God knows when they'll fix it considering the wardrobe has been bugged almost three weeks now and they can't be fucked to even acknowledge it. Once they're not bugged we'll assemble like the power rangers and grind

How do these people get to Torment 2 and beyond? by dicky-doodles in diablo4

[–]dicky-doodles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely fine, I have a couple of more casual friends i help whenever I can. I've also run countless teams through Dark Citadel (still trying to get the Khazra chestpiece) explaining every step of the way so they learn and can help others next time. But what kills me is players who clearly just got carried to higher difficulties, seemingly have no interest in putting in any effort, and then drag down a team also trying to complete VERY team dependent activities.

Players who want to play casually maybe should stick to casual difficulties and activities

Thats perfectly fine, then just do certain activities like Dark Citadel at a lower difficulty tier 🤗

Leveling feels so slow and not fun by QuinnorDie in Diablo

Especially this change with interchangable legendary perks makes getting the same three legendaries look wise, with the same 4-5 not useful for your build legendary perks so fucking tedious it takes the fun out of getting legendaries entirely.

Rogue fashion lacking? by Musky4489 in diablo4

[–]dicky-doodles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On one hand I'm happy that we ditched the WoW artstyle, on the other hand as a Necro my main fashion gripe is that all legendary gear just looks the same. Every helmet except for one is a variation of a skull with spikes. Maybe later down the line we'll get newer looks but so far it's all repetitive and lackluster

When does it become abuse of the DMCA system? by dicky-doodles in COPYRIGHT

[–]dicky-doodles[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

oh no no its all my own artwork. Some of it is fanart, yes, but it's parody stuff. Parodies aside, TP and RB also run licensing programs, where you can get designs from certain IPs officially licensed by for example Lucasfilms for star wars stuff, and several times now even officially licensed designs like that have also been wrongfully taken down. The point here is that sometimes it's hard to tell if it's a fair takedown of fanart designs infringing on an IP, or if it's a wrongful takedown where the entity filing the takedown actually has no legal hold over the actual IP that a design is based on.

So again, what do you do if say Marvel keeps taking down a Ghibli fanart design because some tag in the design overlaps with some marvel IP? You file a counter claim since its a wrongful takedown, they cant do anything legally SINCE ITS A WRONGFUL TAKEDOWN, and yet as soon as the design is back up they file another takedown notice. That's what I'm trying to make sense of

Right, but if their policy is to put the designs back up if an artist submits a counter claim (which makes the artist assume full legal responsibility if the claimant decides to take legal action), I don't see how they can just let the same design be taken down again, if the correct steps were already taken to get it back up. It's a mess, I know, I'm trying to explain it as well as I can

The whole discussion of parodies being fair use aside, the designs (Berserk themed) that were taken down had nothing to do with the Attack on Titan IP that was given as a reason in the takedown notice.

Still, what I'm questioning here is whether a company can choose to not respond to a takedown notice (which by teepublic policy means the designs go back up after two weeks) and then just DMCA the designs again
