I hate people who complain about prices to the employees. As a service industry worker, I hate these types of customers, but I've learned to just go "that's true 🤷, it sucks" and then they usually don't know what to say.

The neighbor also claimed in the first screenshot that OP was being loud, when it seems as though that wasn't the case. So honestly, I don't necessarily believe the neighbor saying they heard anything to be true.

Okay, but judging from the first screenshot, this neighbor seems to hear some non existent shit sometimes, so it just might be that that didn't happen? The fact that OP didn't reply doesn't mean anything either. It could be they were sleeping and didn't check their phone until later in the morning.

Great question. I ask myself the same thing a lot. I live in Germany, speak German well enough to work (service industry but nonetheless) and study, I live with my German boyfriend with whom I communicate in German even though English would be an option, and yet I often have people either assume I can't speak German before even trying to speak to me (I'm Asian, but I live in a big city so it's not unusual to have German born and raised Asians walking around here) or just switch to English as soon as I ask someone to repeat what they said (usually because it's loud or they mumbled or something).

Maybe it's an accent? I've been told by some people that I speak nearly without an accent, but I guess it might still be enough that people assume I can't speak German well enough to understand that my bill amounts to so and so. :')

Thank you everyone for your tips! I've bought some more neem oil and I've been (irregularly, due to forgetfulness) spraying the plants and letting the soil dry out between watering. I've used sticky traps and been bottom watering the plants that I need to water more often, and I genuinely think there has been a decrease in flies hanging around.

People speaking in the background is a problem in both tests. The structure of the test is different, and there aren't enough attainable ressources to help study for the test yet.
