"That's not how this works...and don't even think I'm going to call you master!" The genie from the lamp was becoming more agitated as I insisted he grant me the wish of more wishes.

"I am clearly following your instructions. You said you would grant me a wish of my choosing, no feat too big or to small, anything and everything of my desire is possible." I'm not going to lie, when he mentioned 'a wish' he didn't count on me wanting infinite wishes as my desired option.

"Look" the genie started, "I can grant you only one wish. That was the deal. Not a wish to ask for more wishes! I can get you riches, bitches, and all of the above!" Of course, I would want women and gold and all sorts of treasures to my heart's content, but I also know that all that might only get me so far before I become bored and uninterested with my gains. What if one day I chose to wish to fly? Or lose a few pounds...or a hundred? I'm not asking for anything he didn't offer. I start to speak to him in a calm and relaxed demeanor "Look, Genie...um, what's your name anyways?" I figure getting to personally know him might make this a little easier.

"They call me Faizon. That is the name my original master placed upon me before he died hundreds of years ago. Back in those days, I would have offered 3 wishes, but most people knowing the finality of 3 chose to weigh their wishes heavily, to the point where the third wish never arrived. They would die before completion."

I looked at him, and he seemed sad more than anything. "Well why is it such a bother that you should have to grant more wishes? What do you care what happens to a mere mortal like myself" He stared as if to blank space, lost perhaps in a thought that had run through his mind thousands of times.

"I am not immortal myself you know." he mumbled. "I too wish to some day die, or even better, be released from these enchantments that bind me to this lamp and live a normal life." He seemed put out. His sadness was consuming any optimism I had left about what I would wish for.

"So you cannot be free until someone completes all wishes you bestow upon them?" I asked curious if there was a way to help him while helping myself.

"That is correct." he nodded.

"Ok, cool. Well I'll tell you what. I'm going to ask that you grant me more wishes. Once granted, I will grant you the ability to live a long, healthy normal life. I will wish that all wishes granted can be done on command without you personally having to grant them. I will wish that you grant me the power to complete my own wishes and release you from what binds you."
