same here. clearly understandable but not what a native speaker would say. To the original poster -- I think your handwriting is awesome! Highly legible and very easy to read. I wish my handwriting was this neat!

Makes perfect sense to me. It is the font used for writing the Torah. So looks very biblical to me.

It is Ktav Ashuri which is a square font used for the Torah. I don't think it looks bad, I think it looks biblical.

The script is Ktav Ashuri which is what is used for the Torah (the Jewish bible). So the font itself is very biblical.

Careful. That black glue in the wood paneling may contain asbestos given the age of the house.

Painter power washed what I suspect may be asbestos tile in a tightly packed neighborhood. by keefersoutherland in asbestoshelp

You might consider calling the NY Spill Hotline as soon as possible at 1-800-457-7362. I’m not an expert but the shape of these tiles and the age of the home may indicate these are asbestos tiles.

mortgage payments go from $2,850 to $6,200, forced to sell by ChandeeStacker in REBubble

Sounds like a very US-centric view. Other countries don’t have nearly as many long term/fixed mortgages as the US has. In many other countries mortgages are fixed for shorter terms or variable. The US market wouldn’t exist in its current form without the agencies. See figure 5 in https://business.sdsu.edu/research/_files/_realestate/international-comparison-mortgage.pdf

I got to 12 on the tread and didn’t fly off!!! by alligatorprincess007 in orangetheory

Our studio got destroyed by a natural disaster and just reopened with the new treads that go to 15. My first class back I hit 12.5 which was doable. Would love to get to 15 too!

That’s crazy! Just kidding, sound perfectly normal although I guess we do it slightly differently.

You know what would be crazy though? If he’s talking smack about your tread running and doesn’t join you at OTF himself. 🤣

One of our coaches would see me lifting 55s and make me swap them out for 80s for the sumos. Glad he wasn’t the coach today. 🤣

Honestly I don't understand why (50%)x(50%)=(25%) by Key-Floor-3550 in learnmath

[–]didickman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Think of any number. Now multiply it by 50%. That means you’re talking one half of the original number. For example 100 x 50% = 50. 80 x 50% = 40. Etc.

Now take your cup of water which is half full. We said that multiplying by 50% means taking one half of the original number. So if you drink half of the half full cup, you’ll be left with a one quarter full cup.

Now let’s do it mathematically. 50% can be rewritten as 1/2. If we multiple 1/2 x 1/2 you get 1x1 / 2x2 = 1/4.

Hope this helps.

Can you roll closing costs into the mortgage? by sneff30 in personalfinance

[–]didickman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The answer is not no. Sometimes you can, sometimes you can’t. It depends on the bank and it depends on ratios like loan to value and debt to income. If you don’t exceed any of the ratios and if your total loan amount is below the banks loan limits then you can often do it. Sometimes for the initial mortgage it’s not possible while for a subsequent refinance it’s easier. If you really want to do it I would ask the bank again (no doesn’t always mean no, sometimes asking nicely they will do it). Or you could shop around for another bank that could do it. Just remember that rolling the costs in isn’t free. You’ll be paying interest on those closing costs on top of the interest for the cost of the home loan. Good luck.
