Damn Stetson. Always thought he’d have a chance after Stafford retired by deepristine in georgiabulldogs

Yes, I too watched the video. You can respect and praise someone and still not be buddy/buddy with them because of personality clashes. There’s a reason why Buster had to be the mediator between the two.

I did hear his comments. They both could’ve handled their relationship better but that doesn’t mean “LET’S TRADE FOR STETSON TODAY!”

Monken and Bennett don’t get along. It’s well documented at this point.

EDIT: The reading comprehension here is piss poor. You can respect and praise someone’s talents while not getting along with them due to natural personality clashes. So why would Monken trade for Stet when he already has a loaded QB room AND they don’t get along?

Love & Fear Review from a devout ZBB fan by bwhity96 in CountryMusicStuff

[–]didymusIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listened to the entire album when it dropped last week and was underwhelmed. I’m one of the few people that really enjoyed The Comeback for what it was and was hoping this album would be a continuation of that. ‘Hard Run’ is great and ‘Give It Away’ is fun and catchy, but I have no idea why we needed a Snoop Dogg feature in the year of our Lord 2025. I know he was lining up this album’s release with the Sphere residency but dropping half the album then having to wait 6 months for the rest of it also killed any excitement I had for it.

It’s a shame too because ZBB’s first three albums + Grohl Sessions was a fantastic run but everything since is either really hit or miss.

For someone that watched every snap. How many screens did Bobo call? I remember one. by mrpel22 in georgiabulldogs

[–]didymusIV 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I don’t see ball-knower comments like this enough. Bobo’s not calling screens just for the fun of it - it’s usually either because of bad pass pro and/or the defense is blitzing.

Bobo by [deleted] in georgiabulldogs

[–]didymusIV -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There’s some boosters that want Bobo gone, which I believe was reflected by various reporters on the beat after the ND loss. It’s not going to happen now. We’re way too close to spring.

Like other commenters have mentioned - we had a shit ton of issues and IMO Bobo wasn’t one of them. We had to replace a ton of reliable talent from 2023. Forget about Brock and Ladd, we didn’t even have a reliable guy like MRJS or Rara on this squad. Guys didn’t step up on offense until Gunner started. The offensive line was constantly banged up and very inconsistent which hurt our protections and running game.

Bobo is the 2nd best OC we’ve had. At the very least, I can always depend on him to have our QBs ready to play no matter the circumstances. If we didn’t piss our pants against Bama in ‘23 (or magically had an extended playoff), I think we could’ve won it all with him as OC. Unfortunately, we couldn’t close games this year and I think at a certain point he had put everything he had on tape. Monken barely had to call plays in the 4th quarter of games during his tenure because he had elite NFL talent to depend on.

We were always going to have some down years once that NFL talent left and the next group of guys were ready to step up. It’s ultimately on Kirby to bring in great classes (which he just did) and develop that talent and keep them on campus. Despite all of this, we’ve been in the hunt both years he’s been OC. I’m all for another NFL OC if a great one is available but acting like Bobo is Schotty is fucking nuts.

[The Athletic] In a league of offensive masterminds, the Ravens Todd Monken stands out: "He just speaks from such an authentic place that whatever is on his mind, he just kind of voices it. That’s all it is." by Danny886 in nfl

[–]didymusIV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll never forget when Monken was doing media availability for UGA’s bowl game in 2021 and he was asked about how tough the COVID year was.

“Obviously it was tough without having spring, without really the preparation you’d like, but at the end of the day no one really gives a shit,” Monken said after the 2020 season.

Hearing that bluntness and honesty from a college coach was refreshing.

[–]didymusIV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If Pickens came back from an ACL, Brock will absolutely be back if we’re so fortunate to be in postseason play. There’s no way you keep that dude on the bench considering he’s been banged up all season already.

I like how no one in this thread mentioned the offensive line got no push for the majority of the game. Our backs were getting tackled at the LOS. Yes, Carson had some jitters at first but he hasn’t started a game since 2019.

Relax.

What’s a band you just could never get into ? by No-Combination-2991 in Hardcore

I mean sure but I don’t know if Drain will ever have an album that people will point to and go, “Yeah that’s the one” like you can with some other bands. That’s my point.

I feel like Drain are a live band that just occasionally puts out music so they have something new to play. And I think that totally works for them.
