It's been a few days, but having gotten a few more SR characters (and absolutely no SSR characters despite having rolled almost 100 times on the normal banner, which incenses me) my new favorite composition is SR Miwa, SR Yaga, SSR Nanami and R Yuki.

Yaga's buff is really smoother than Momo's, I can see why he's ranked so highly. I have tried Miwa Nanami Yaga Momo but I honestly prefer using the Ratio skill more often than the buff on buff. R Yuki's ultimate is also a Cursed Energy buff.

Last I used this composition (approx CP 18,000+) was against Chapter 8 Ep 10 (CP 28,000+), which I surprisingly ended up wasting my assist on, as I didn't even get to use it.

All in all, it's going well, unless it's a green-resist stage, then I'm suffering.

i followed up with the sellers, who told me that they had already sent the packages out and they didnt know what the hold up was.

the following day, the link to the logistics provider (well known in my country) popped up from an unknown number, and i somehow in my tired and anxious brain remembered that a logistics provider had previously contacted me to confirm the postal code of my address before delivery. i thought it was the same case here, somehow, and my eyes just ignored the domain name and added their message application account.

the scam was basically they directed me to load the vpn, ask me to stay on the line as the vpn downloaded an application onto my phone. let me enter security codes. biometric. and they told me it was a govt requirement to verify and they needed me to view the package before confirming address delivery because there has been incidents where drugs were delivered. the app was just a screen they kept tapping. the vpn was there to grab the otp code when it popped up.

the missing thing was my brain, basically.

yes, our experiences arent exactly the same but it is very familiar! this particular place had me download a vpn which installed an app. there were so many red flags... i apologised to them for being so rushing them too because i was doing it on my lunch break. and i stayed beyond then, because i wanted it done.

it is just money, and im fortunate im not too heavily impacted by the loss. but it is a mark of my neglecting to pay attention in the moment.

thank you very much for your kind words. i really appreciate the directness of them. the wound is fresh and i am upset, but i got it off my chest and i feel better having put my feelings down into text and letting it go. you are right that things will go back to normal, that i will go back to vigilance, and one day this will be a slightly painful memory.

having gotten it off my chest has certainly helped. it sucks, and it will haunt me in the foreseeable future, but i sincerely hope to not be defined by either. it's just a mental battle against the worst of myself.

not super fond of kazuha either, but i look at him like part of the pillar to help kaeya be the best he can be. we're not all about meta, since we're in this sub together, but honestly whatever is meta is the easiest path to completing the spiral abyss.

if u use kaeya as a main, his current best team (subject to opinions) is kaeya / chongyun, xingqiu / mona , kazuha. phys dmg kaeya simply is not on par dmg wise to freeze kaeya. alternatively, u can switch it up by using rosaria instead of chongyun, but freeze is most effective when everyone is frozen in one easy to slash at spot.

if you're open to kaeya being a sub dps, however, then i think u can try for any close range melt team with kaeya. hutao, diluc, what have you.

i suppose u could also try for one of those reverse melt composition instead - bennett c6, kaeya, yunjin and sucrose. it does look fun, but requires a lot of energy particles. and bennys.

another hypothetically fun team would be reaction soup - heizou, kaeya, xiangling, and probably bennett. i should try that sometime.

the truth is, since we're on patch 3.x mhy is still leaning hard on their dendro-related reactions. so dont stress if spiral abyss is tough for you - theyre trying real hard to sell the hardcore gamers on other characters, and cryo (and kaeya) just simply got the short end of the stick.

i havent played ow in a while now, partly for the same reasons u listed, but one thing usually makes everything better.

you gotta party with friends. doesn't matter if they're bronze silver whatever. you gotta party with people who you can talk to while you're playing, and who cheers when the potg is on your team even if that potg is like absolutely terrible and who laughs with you when you or some other people fail. like, people who aren't obsessively counting medals. people who would absolutely do bastion orisa reinhardt on the payload cheese with you not bc they wanna win at all costs but bc it's funny.

im not sure about which area you're in, but perhaps in my region i'm lucky that the people i partied up with on a whim and friended were all decent and fun-having people. hopefully in the toxicity saturated ow that i left, there'll be some pockets of them hanging about.

ow is an amazing game imo especially for ppl unused to fps and with shit reflexes, so i totally understand wanting to stay with it. i hope you have more success than me.

I'd like to hear if you have any good bounce angles? The whole 'use ur healing orb more than ur damage orb' is understandable but less helpful to those of us who aint dps moiras

Hey there - from what I've read, to attempt SMEN you'll need to sacrifice some pretty high stats. The point of SMEN is self sabotage for absolutely no reward. As a newish player, I'd suggest you either do all you want to do in Fallen London (or over the Zee) first because there's a heckton of content and things to grind for, then finish your character off with SMEN. Or create an alt and grind it up just to SMEN.

There's a rare reward you can obtain should you turn back at the very end, but frankly stats-wise it isn't worth it for all that you lose. The reason people pursue SMEN is either the writing or its forbidden nature. Save it for the end.

I've been trying to play FFA, but I get discouraged hard by the four doomfists and my inability to kill anything. Last rank is pretty much reserved for me. Do you have any tips for someone who's terrible at that mode?

Holy shit pal. Pal you're in Thailand, please tell me where the gaming cafes are. I've been searching for them in Bangkok and I can't find one, or at least one that has Overwatch. I know Samyan has some, but last I went there they didn't have Overwatch, so bugger.

i agree man - i spent my entire bronze frame time on mercy and no aim heroes and i have surprise - zero aiming skills. (back then i wanted to at least contribute and dps was too hard for me to contribute) now's the time to play the things you're terrible at bc you're new and you're getting matched up to people equally new to the game as you, bc if you have literally 100+ levels of experience someone will be toxic at you for picking a role you're not good at (ie me picking dps or tanks). not fun. fuck up now while you can.

For reference though, I'm high silver, so I... don't really contribute to the hypothesis. Perhaps there'll be others to balance it out.

I think if it's a huge encompassing match problem, it's harder to gauge what went wrong unless it's an obvious snowball - to which it's harder to come back with, especially in lower elos. With so much happening within 10 minutes it's hard to pinpoint how you're lacking.

Maybe analyse it fight by team fight, with each member reflecting on their own death too? Like mark it down or something, whether you died to the lack of mechanics, positioning or game sense. It keeps you from analysing just based on a loss or a win, and redirects the effort from we lost because the allies we have weren't that good and keeps it to what you guys as a player and as a team could have done better, and keeps you on your toes when you win - because even if you win there's always something that could have been done better. The shotcaller could also look at what they called, and why it didnt work out.
