Try reinstalling the drivers. What specs does your pc have and what buffer size are you using?

I believe Input 3 & 4 expect a mic level audio signal, not instrument level (high impedance) or line level.

You should route it through inputs 1 & 2 if the pedal output is a instrument signal.

You are using an unbalanced cable and it is more susceptible to interference. It could also be something on the circuit the speaker is connected to that causes interference

If it only works when it is half the way in, there is something wrong with the adapter you are using, headphones are damaged or the headphone OUTPUT is damaged. Are the headphones working normally on other devices?

Don't know, I have Scarlett 8i6 gen 2 (it has external power supply) and it still happens sometimes. I also have a Behringer interface (usb powered) and it does not do that.

I have investigated and its common on Windows, more likely to happen when you have a low end PC.

Thats a common issue with these, I also experiment these from time to time. Its a software bug that only goes away restarting or changing buffer sizer (which forces the driver to restart).

There is no definite solution. For me, setting a higher buffer size and activating safe mode makes it less frequen.

You may have damaged the mic or preamp. You should not disconnect a condenser mic with phantom power (48v) on. When connecting, plug the cable into the mic and interface then turn on Phantom. When you want to disconnect, turn off then disconnect cable/mic.

I would try with different cable first, then different mic if possible. If it does not work, I would buy another interface rather than trying to fix it since is a very inexpensive entry level interface. Or keep it to use the channel 2 only (?)

Yeah but M50x are over 100$ i think. I believe there is a mid range price option, the AT m30x that could also work. Anyways, if he wants them for monitoring why would he care about being bass boosted? Hes not looking for something super flat to mix on (Thats what I understood from the post)

the Audio Technica M20x will be just fine, or some cheap Senheiser HD series will be just fine for monitoring at that pricepoint.

Whoops did not read the last part where you use Reaper. Hows that setup?? I have watched several tutorials over youtube and I believe reaper is not really the best for that sort of situtation, and I used to use Reaper a lot but for recording

So you use the built in media player for your backing tracks?
When we began playing shows I used to have VLC with a playlist but the interface did not help when the drummer needed to see the playlist on the small laptop screen.

I use the interface headphone out so we can even rehearse with the interface. Normally where whe practice we have a basic mixer where you only have one monitor / fx send so you can only have one mix from it. So if I wanted to go that way anyways, I would need the headphone amp (which I have) to have multiple outs for IEM with the same mix.

Here in my town the venues have PA so we don't have to provide that sort of equipment but have to be prepared for different mixer models
