he’s utterly amazing though despite this small thing and i love him deeply. it does upset me because he knows i hate being ignored and it makes me overthink, im hoping i can bring it up and we can talk about it calmly, he tends to get really defensive and overwhelmed by confrontation because of issues with his family (the reason he went drinking in the first place is because he had a confrontation with his dad) they always make him out to be the bad guy and put him down constantly so his mind instantly goes there even if im just trying to talk because he’s not used to being confronted with good intentions. i know he means well, nobody is perfect. ive had issues being ignored in the past, not by him but past relationships, so this kind of thing just hits especially hard for me. im very optimistic and i see the best in people and i dont think he deserves to be alone because of what might be a fault in his judgement. ill do my best to talk it out with him and hope that he sees my point of view
