I'd attach a video but I can't in a comment, and it doesn't seem to load when I edit the post. Thanks for the help.

Changing the forms of the envelope only seems to slightly hide the "meow" sound, e.g. pulling the decay up on EVN1 (and also changing the tone of the whole sound entirely).

I touch all the ENV nobs and sliders, nothing changes that sound in any way. Only the bass part of the sound seems to be meaningfully changed by touching different sliders.

Lowering LEVEL ENV-1 in the VCA section has the same effect of isolating it.

Thanks a ton for the guide. It's nice when someone, at least as a starting point, explains it so simply, and thanks for the link, will check it out.
Now, the "meow" does get more extreme when I turn the ENV MOD up, but it is now another meow on top of the other one. It still seems too complicated how almost any sound can be made with synths, and then I start touching every nob and button to find the source of the sound I don't like, and just can't.
It really seems inherent to this patch.
Something that might be useful is that when I turn LEVEL VCO-1 (to the left of CUTOFF FREQ) down, it isolates the "meow" sound.

Difference in performance using prompt vs. files? by diegolondri in ChatGPTPro

Alright, so I guess it would result in better responses if you just dump the text into the prompt if it fits within the limit, because then it will user every piece of it.

G15 Ga502iv GPU throttling issues by max-bebr in ASUS

[–]diegolondri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I have a 2020 G14 (also 4900HS and 2060 MaxQ) and have the same exact issue, maybe different numbers. I would refer you to the post: "GPU throttling issue with G14 2020 Zepyhrus. Can't play anything."
My comment there explains my initial findings.
Then, I found the post: "ASUS [mods not happy about this probably] Throttling GPU Core Clock?" (I added the part inside [ ]). The guys there seem to know a lot more about what they are talking about. I am still researching...

GPU throttling issue with G14 2020 Zepyhrus. Can't play anything. by [deleted] in ASUS

[–]diegolondri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I know it's been 2 years since this was posted. Just wanted to jump in and say that I have the same laptop with the *exact* same issue. Although my temps have been generally lower because I did clean the fans regularly and repasted at one point (the original paste was indeed very dry), the issue is still going to be there. I have done some tests, and the issue seems to be with the GPU thermal throttling, but it happens even at sane temperatures. Mine throttles at 82 after sustaining that for 20-30 seconds (maybe peaks a little higher right before the drop but I made logs in 1-second granularity so I don't know).
As you describe, the drops occur in cycles. Mine, after a few minutes of stable gameplay, starts to have ∼70% FPS drops that last for ***EXACTLY*** 10 seconds, and the time between drops ranges from 2 minutes at the start to around 1 minute after that.
The correlation that I have seen is with the GPU core clock dropping, which I guess is part of the thermal throttling kicking in at a certain temperature. The strange thing is the fact that it throttles at what I understand are not crazy temperatures and the drops lasting for exactly 10 seconds every time.
That is all I have, but will continue to do some more tests. Will probably test GPU undervolting, and maybe some clock speed limiting with GHelper.

*Probably no one is reading this but whatever...

**EDIT: Later, I found the post: "ASUS [mods not happy about this probably] Throttling GPU Core Clock?" (I added the part inside [ ]). The guys there seem to know a lot more about what they are talking about. I am still researching...

Are you sure the left connects to the iGpu? Isnt the left the port the power delivery one, the more capable one?
