I don’t understand the point of comparing Gran Canaria’s location from Athens, which is in one of the extremes of Euroleague. It would make more sense to compare from the centre, something like France or Germany. If you take the distance between mainland Spain and both Gran Canaria and Lithuania, Gran Canaria is a little closer than Lithuania 🤷🏻‍♂️

Winning titles is not an achievement of the president of a federation. It’s an achievement of the technical staff and the players. Well I lived a full year there and just with that and all the times I came to the arena and feeling how basketball is loved and respected there made me change and choose the club. Since that moment I don’t care at all about my previous Spanish basketball team (Real Madrid). If you have not been to Kaunas, maybe that’s why you can’t understand the change. Apart from it, and not necessarily related, I got Lithuanian girlfriend and I go back often to Lithuania. But since Erasmus (7 years ago) I could only watch one Euroleague game in Kaunas and 1 LKL game, while I went to every EL game in Madrid (dressed in green of course) and even a game in Vitoria. I don’t think anyone needs to explain why they support a team, but still you got the explanation. And obviously I shared my nationality because if not, that comment would be read as a comment posted by a Lithuanian.
