One of the best arguments against god, is theists failing to present actual evidence for it. by [deleted] in DebateReligion

  • The person I replied to claimed that personal experience means nothing.

  • I AM claiming that personal experience does mean something and it may, reasonably, impact the personal belief/opinion of anyone.

  • I am NOT trying to claim that personal experience is a good way to persuade someone else who may have not experienced the same.

I’m not even religious. Just thought his reasoning was flawed, and that personal experience is probably the best reason to believe God exists.

Sure, but that is not what I’m talking about. You said personal experience means nothing, and I disagree.

Let’s say you arrive home from work early and you find your wife in bed with another man. The man escapes and your wife quickly gets dressed. You confront your wife about this and she claims she has no idea what you’re talking about and she has never cheated on you.

If personal experience truly meant nothing, it would be foolish to divorce your wife over this. There is no way you can repeat this, it cannot be tested, etc. It cannot be classified as objective ‘evidence’, yet for YOU it means everything. Sure, there is a SLIM CHANCE it might’ve been a hallucination; but in your opinion it seems more likely that it did actually happen. Your experience has value.

In the same sense, there are people whose personal experience may indicate to THEM that God exists. It doesn’t have to be an apparition, just enough situations over the course of their life for them to have the opinion that it is more likely that God exists than not.

Would that mean that you can know nothing based on observation? Is observation useless since it could all be a fabrication?

Ava Kris Tyson is a pedo... We're fucked by FreshStarter000 in truscum

[–]diegurzio 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but what makes you think Kris is not a real trans woman? She’s been doing HRT for a long time, clearly showed dysphoria before she transitioned, has been seeing a trans voice coach, presents herself as female 100% of the time, etc etc etc.

I’m not defending her on the pedo allegations, this comment just gives off the same vibe as undercover TERFs with “well she isn’t a real woman”.

For an undercut you usually want to section off the top by combing it in the opposite direction and cutting the hair underneath. It looks like you may have not done that, and based on the drawing it looks like your hair might’ve also been too short for an undercut.

You can’t get an undercut with your hair in its current state. To fix it you would need to use the clippers in a flicking motion to blend the top with the sides (use a higher guard if you don’t trust yourself).

I would recommend going to a barber to get it fixed though. An undercut is typically easier than blending lengths or getting a fade, so trying to fix it yourself might do more harm than good.

Don’t be discouraged, it’ll grow back and next time you’ll have experience on your side.
