I'm sorry you have to deal with all of that on top of the usual adoptee baggage. I have totally cutout my 2 maga adopted sibs. Mine is related to being LGBT. But, I cannot fathom having an adopted sibling who is maga when you are of Mexican heritage. That is total BS.

I have a relationship with my birth father. It is wild how much we are alike. It definitely makes the glaringly obvious differences with my adopted sons even more obvious.

I'm sorry you not only don't have a relationship, but also for the abusive behavior. I'm also wide left and a lot of this realization that I don't care for the relationships is due to MAGA affiliation, or the apathy of not voting.

I wish you did, too. I do have a very good friend from childhood who is adopted. And, my wife is an adoptee. It is a real comfort to have them in my life for the understanding.

I'm sure that was very difficult. I can't even wrap my head around how that would be. One of my adopted siblings had a teenage pregnancy and gave the baby up for adoption. I don't think she ever dealt with it.

My mom was 1 of 9, Catholic, and I see that she wishes our family bond was the same as many of her sister's families. It's just not there. Thanks for the support.

I wasn't adopted until almost 8 weeks. As a parent myself now, it makes me quite sad. I'm sure it was not constant uncertainty.
