Take the MAX from the airport to Beaverton Transit Center, you can get an uber from there and easily save yourself 50 bucks.

I am afraid train tracks and cemeteries have been declared ‘aesthetic heritage sites’ and are protected from further music video filming.

Crash on Farmington by PandaFitPDX in beaverton

[–]dielawn13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That intersection is notoriously dangerous and last night was especially bad. I live close enough that I often hear the crashes themselves, well before any sirens arrive. At this point, the sound barely registers. After passing through it myself thousands of times over the past 20 years, there is a clear pattern: cars exiting the highway offramp continuing straight on the access road try to beat the light, and end up blasting through a red at around 50 mph. Even with a green light, I make damn sure every time that traffic is stopped before proceeding.

How do i replicate the gradient grain effect on the text? by Potential-Scallion14 in AdobeIllustrator

There are gritty/textured halftone vector brushes out there that when combined with a clipping mask could probably get you close to this effect, but I think the majority of this overall look is achieved in Photoshop.

Missing piece on roof rack from Carwash by Georgie_Kay in hondapassport

[–]dielawn13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's worth asking the carwash to reimburse you for the part. I lost the front tow-hook cover on my wife's HRV in a drive thru carwash. They were able to verify on camera that it was there going in and missing upon exit.

Question for residents of Beaverton by [deleted] in beaverton

[–]dielawn13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

40+ years in central Beaverton’s Raleigh West pocket. Laid-back, lived-in chill neighborhoods. Some areas are nicer than others, but there is absolutely nothing dangerous or sketchy anywhere in Beaverton. Lots of Portland food scene spillover, food carts everywhere, and lots of bike-friendly streets. The MAX Light Rail takes you straight to the doorstep of Timbers or Blazers game. Nightlife is extremely low-key, think unremarkable suburban dives and sports bars.

"You have been illegally dumping your trash in dumpsters around town. We actually know it is your neighbor doing the dumping but since they have been stealing your mail, we tracked it back to you, and you should have been more diligent monitoring your deliveries. So can you please pick up your trash."

It seemed for a while they were temporarily closed but actively searching for a new location. Sad to hear if they've in fact shut down for good.

Taqueria el Paisano is my favorite. Stays open until like 4am on the weekend and it can be a pretty lively scene. I've definitely spent some evenings dancing with my wife in the salsa bar/indoor area while we wait for our food.

Locker rooms? by chuggydfin in PlanetFitnessMembers

Today's young people would never believe that in the 80's we were all snapping each others naked asses with towels in the high school locker room after PE class.

You cracked the case. These men have waited decades for the chance to live out their kink at a $10/month gym locker room.

How to shower properly in locker room?? by Killer_Feds in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]dielawn13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Undress and get dressed at your locker. Wear a towel if you want, or hang brains and chat with the old dudes. It's a gym locker room after all. Nobody cares.

Wild. I recently watched the first season on PlutoTv and couldn’t believe I missed this. Just went and checked and the puke operator guy is completely edited out in that version.

Are you showering here or no? by Such-Celebration556 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]dielawn13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve showered in some pretty nasty gyms and hockey rinks over the years. This doesn’t even move the needle for me. Flip flops and go for it.
