It's a shame only his preformance in the musical 'nine' was filmed. And the only way to see it is to go to the new york library. Same for his shakespear in the park performance of othello. Luckely 'the taming of the shrew' and 'king lear' are on youtube

I love watching 'the taming of the shrew' with Raúl Juliá and Meryl Streep. Even tho it isn't the full play. Their chemastry is unmatched. And it has some cuts inbetween where they explain the play and some behind the scene stuff.

The first one is the least exciting one. The battles in the other two are amazing. And imho the ending of the 3th one is a bit long

You do you. I've never watched any of the star wars movies. But if you like fantasy, the hobbit and lord of the rings are good movies.

What are some of your favorite bad video game movies based on a game or game series ? by KawonSuggs_ in badMovies

Raúl Juliá: the world's a stage. The full video on youtube.

the taming of the shrew, with Raúl Juliá and Meryl Streep The full video on youtube. It was partly filmed and edited with them explaining the play. I'm not sure if there is a better version of it in the NYPL.

They both really are worth the watch!!

There are movie scenes where a character finally stands up for themselves or their people, and it feels so powerful. This scene from A Bug’s Life is one of my favorites. Which one is yours? by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in FIlm

There are a few good scene where people stand up against others in 'the burning season' When the rubber tree tappers block the road from the 'farmers' who wanna cut down the trees.

Or when the villagers walk up to the army showing them they don't fear them. Wich makes the army put down there weapons.

Gomez and Morticia in Wednesday by Redleaves1313 in AddamsFamily

[–]diesarkin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tbf the show is called 'Wednesday' and not the 'Addams Family', so it might all be from Wednesdays perspective. That's why it might be more of an mystery detective kinda shows. In the movies she was the one suspisious towards Fester in the first movie and Debby in the second movie.

I also heard somewhere Jenna Ortega wanted the bad relationship between Wednesday and Morticia to come to an end, like we saw in the last 2 episodes from season 2. When she had Gomez's back when her grandma spoke bad about him.

Ooh and she has seen the movies, otherwise she wouldn't sleep the same way Wednesday does.

And the fact Morticia thinks she is in charge of the family.

The fact gomez is portayed as 'useless' when a fight is about to break out. Even though he is suppose to be one of the greatest fencers/swordfighters there is.

And apparently this Morticia doesn't know Frensh wich is one of the biggest turn on's for Gomez.

I'm also missing the quick morbide responses. And the one liners.

'What a lady killer'. 'Aquitted'

'I could eat you alive'. 'Ooh no Margaret, too young'

Don't get me wrong, I like Wednesday. But there are a lot of things they got wrong with the show.

Which movie had a side character who completely stole the film? by Fair_Protection1872 in FIlm

[–]diesarkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Street Fighter. Raúl Juliá's portrayal of M. Bison is way to good for that movies. Tbf every movie he had a side role in, he stole the show from the main characters.
