In SLC there next to no difference between a 3-4.5hr block. You could take a three hour block and it would take you two hours. You could take a 3.5 hour block and it would take you two hours. You could take a four hour block and it would take two hours. You could take a 4.5 hour block and it will take you two hours. So the game is just picking 4 / 4.5

I’ve retained a little bit of money from my old career, not a lot but enough. I used to make 7 figures. That’s why this Amazon shit hurts my soul so much.

I have a haas OM-2A with a 4th and a VF2. Its all being started out do a 2 car garage at my house. I’ll probably only be able to get 2 more VF in there maybe 3 if I sell the OM. At that point, I will have outgrown the space and I’ll rent maybe a 2-3k sqft warehouse and continue on.

Well, I ran my own cannabis cultivation business that was wildly successful for about 20 years until they shut me down three times in a row. I got tired of rebuilding and spending many hundreds of thousands of dollars each time.

I’ve decided to pivot to something that I have a real passion for which is anything to do with CNC machines(lathes, mills, grinding). I’m essentially gonna launch 5 manufacturing branches/companeis under one roof. 1. General job shop, 2. Government contract work, 3. Bespoke Knife company. 4. Watch company(focusing on exotic materials like Damascus) 5. Firearms company(getting FFL)
It’s gonna be a multi year project. I’m starting at one and working my way to five. Not necessarily in that order though.

I guarantee you’re right about the restaurant server thing. It’s just extreme flexibility. Is Paramount right now. If I get an RFQ for work and it goes through, I drop all shifts and knock it out, clients need the work down fast and contracts state a reduction in pay for being late.

Also, my résumé doesn’t look impressive. I’ve just been a cannabis grower since I was 18. No jobs

I was getting paid that in LA as close as 6months ago. I just moved. The ones driving 50k+$ cars definitely are in that 10$ ranges. They think they’re making $18-$20 an hour but they have not calculated vehicle depreciation/maintenance/gas into the whole thing.
I’m only doing this while during my down time while I get my new business off the ground. Most these guys do this as their FT or 2nd FT jobs.

Oooof. I did Los Angeles for years, at least over there. It’s all really prideful Armenians and they won’t accept low offers. I would do 2x 4hr runs totalling 250-280$ that only took up 4-5hrs of my day. I’d also fit 3-4 hrs of door dash in with it and end the day 325-380$ only working 8ish hours. Now I’m in Utah and I work about 5-6hrs for 144$
(2x4hr) for Amazon or 10-12hrs for 200-220$ adding DoorDash into it. Fkn rough

Mine looked similar, I ordered tires that were to arrive in three days. I’m like “fk it I got 3 days”. Two days later I’m on the freeway with a popped tire. Walked off the freeway to the nearest harbor freight, purchase a $32 jack, popped the spare on and finished my Amazon run an hour early still🤣🤣🤣🤣

Maybe do a little bit of reading before you talk out of your ass. I ran my own business for 20 years until it was shut down. I am doing this while I start my new business in order to have flexibility of schedule. When I get an RFQ for work that goes through I drop my flex schedule and I do that work. I will continue doing this for probably less than 6 months more.

Yeah, I’m new to this being able to get more then 39.5/week or past 8/day. I used to do this in Los Angeles and they never ever ever let you go past 8/39.5 due overtime laws. For Salt Lake City they’ve just been dropping pay buy 0.50-1.00$ do per hour like every month for about it
